So my husband application was approved this past thursday. Yay! We are waiting for the green card to arrive. I don't know if it was a coincidence..... I contacted the senator who helped with our RFE to inquire about our case last monday. Then a couple of days later, we were notified of the approval with a case update.

I hope the rest of the Feb filers will be approved before the month of August ends. Good Luck!

..droppin in to say hi! ((Liz & Cami))

We are still in AOS hell.

Aww, thinking about you, Jackie!(F) I'm hoping you get out of AOS hell soon. I just don't understand USCIS, how they operate ...

Liz lady!! I saw that you've been touched ... I can't believe we're in August now, the END of August, with Feb. CSC still waiting!

But I'm seeing a lot of touches here, on timelines. Which is encouraging.

Hi to all Feb filers!

I just want to share with you this. So, we are almost in 7 months from date of filing the AOS application so we decided to contact the USCIS (last tuesday). The IO made a "Service Request" and she gave me a confirmation number. She said to wait AGAIN for another 30 days for the USCIS to respond. And then today we took info pass appointment to ask an IO in person. She was so pissed off with the CSC. She said I should have my greencard already because it's way beyond the processing time.. But since my papers are still in CSC, she can't do anything about it. We also mailed our 2 senators about my case.

I'm really frustrated right now... I thought CSC will make the processing easier but I in reality it makes the process complicated.. I have to get my GC ASAP because my employer is requiring that before I start to work..

I hope the CSC do their job right because they make people so stressed right now.. Sorry for the whining guys.

I hope everyoone will get approval soon..

...working hard every day to gather HUGE amounts of evidence. Second interview is Sept 17th with the SAME officer as the first time.

We are much better prepared this time. When we had the first interview, he didn't even have his SS card yet. This time, we have a bank account, life insurance, library card, state ID, school papers, mail, letters from family and friends, emails spanning 2 1/2 years in a binder, pics from 2 years......... I have everything they asked for except ~~ they want 4 months of cell phone logs. We use prepay and Cricket doesn't have an option to print. grrrrrrr.

3 weeks til interview....

A follow-up on my previous post... Nearing now the 7 month mark for my I-485 (filed Feb 10th) I called USCIS again and the agent I spoke to said that my case was out of normal processing times and then put in a service request to the CSC, who should now contact me within 30 days. All previous times I had called USCIS, there was no admission that my case was overlong in processing, so this is progress (I hope :))

Alec

We filed about the same time and have seen the same touches (without change of status) on 7/10, 8/5 and 8/6. I've called USCIS a few times over the last couple of months to check on our case's progress, but the most they can tell you is that nothing is wrong. According to the last USCIS official I spoke to there is no processing time estimate for the family based I-485, but by looking at the visajourney timelines it seems that Feb filers are slowly starting to receive their green cards (later than Mar filers, go figure?). To call USCIS the number is 1-800-375-5283 then press 1 then 2 then 6 (the options change but basically you want 1 = English then 2 = check application status then 6 = lost the receipt number and talk to customer service representative). This will get you to a person who may or may not be helpful! I usually call over Skype (free call) so I don't waste my cell phone minutes.

Hi Alec! I noticed we have the same filing date. Last week we called USCIS and the IO made a service request for my case. We also went to our local USCIS and discuss about it and the IO said we are so much beyond processing time. Last Monday we got an email about the service request which states that..

"The status of this service request is: Your case is currently in transit to adjudications. You should receive a notice of action* within 45 days. *A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Request for Evidence, Notice of Intent to Deny or Notice of Intent to Revoke."

We are now waiting for another 45 days!!

Hi AOS filers, just dropping a quick notice, when John received his GC around the first week of August, it was WRONG and we had to send it back, it's not been returned yet, but we are hoping it is by the first week of October - the USCIS put Unknown as the Country of Origin. Our app said UK.. DUH!!! That's our government employees showing their intelligence people.. lol

Hi All

We have not posted in a while. I figured everyone here would have gotten through already, last I checked apps were flying through and ours had not been touched. Basically in early July I contacted USCIS because it was outside of normally processing time. They said they would send in a request to see where it was. I heard back from them about 2 weeks later in the form of an RFE. (I figured that was my punishment for not waiting patiently). The letter request about 1 1/4 page of proves that we were legitimitely married. The reason it stated is because we were out of status for a good while before filing.

The letter asked for bank statements, a notorized letter from me saying i want the application to be granted, pics of the wedding showing family and friends there and the wedding in general, copy of lease, credit card and bank account statements, health and life insurance cards, a copy of the wedding invitation, utilities bills, copies of birth certificate for all children born. tax returns.. and I think thats it. Additionally i send a notarized letter from my mom which is also our cosponsor stating we are legitimately married and that we come up there to see her for holidays etc. I also found an actual invitation packet, that we found that was sent out and returned as undeliverable, It had the postmark and everything. We sent off everything on 8/23 via express and finally got an email with card production ordered on the 3rd. We are sooo happy... this has been a stressful process. Hoping all who is still waiting will get through soon
