Should you call uscis 6 months from filing or transfer. I was really close to calling last week but I was not sure what date to go by. What number do you call?

01.09.10 Married

02.01.10 - AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago! (day 1)

02.02.10 - Delivered to Chicago per USPS delivery confirmation/signature @ 11:30a

02.10.10 - Check cashed (day 9)

02.12.10 - Recieved NOA in the mail for AOS, EAD, AP (dated 2/8/10: Day 1)

02.16.10- Biometrics appointment for 3.4.10 (dated 2.11.10)

02.18.10 - Early biometrics! walk-in (day 10)

02.22.10 - RFE for Medical (dated 2.18.10)

02.23.10 - Infopass (not helpful)

02.26.10 - Sent reply to RFE for I 693 to Lee's Summit and sent letter to senator (day 18)

I have found out that once after I turned in my applications. That's why my EAD is delaying. You mean that you have seen one person whose case is same as mine, got EAD ?

I think they changed the time we get mail. It's been this way for a week now. It's 2:30pm and no mail, normally we would have gotten it about 45 minutes ago. How annoying.

Well...fingers crossed here again...we had a touch yesterday sometime and again today already so maybe they are actually working on it and we'll get our approval soon!

Hi,

We're in the same situation. We filed about the same time and have seen the same touches (without change of status) on 7/10, 8/5 and 8/6. I've called USCIS a few times over the last couple of months to check on our case's progress, but the most they can tell you is that nothing is wrong. According to the last USCIS official I spoke to there is no processing time estimate for the family based I-485, but by looking at the visajourney timelines it seems that Feb filers are slowly starting to receive their green cards (later than Mar filers, go figure?). To call USCIS the number is 1-800-375-5283 then press 1 then 2 then 6 (the options change but basically you want 1 = English then 2 = check application status then 6 = lost the receipt number and talk to customer service representative). This will get you to a person who may or may not be helpful! I usually call over Skype (free call) so I don't waste my cell phone minutes :)

03-10-10 I-485 transferred to California Service Center

03-12-10 Biometric appointment

04-19-10 I-765 (EAD) approved (card received in mail 04-26)

07-10-10 Date change on USCIS (also 08-05 and 08-06)

I-130 for mom

08/04/2014 mailed the I-130 petition via USPS riority mail

08/06/2014 USCIS received the papers and routed to Nebraska Service Center (NSC) for processing

08/08/2014 received NOA in the mail

08/11/2014 checks have been cleared

08/28/2014 received approval notice in the mail. Petition was approved on 08/26/14

09/03/2014 NCS shipped the approved case to the Department of State for visa processing

I-130 for dad

08/04/2014 mailed the I-130 petition via USPS priority mail

08/06/2014 USCIS received the papers and routed to Nebraska Service Center for processing

08/08/2014 received NOA in the mail 08/11/2014 checks have been cleared

08/29/2014 received RFE letter in the mail

09/05/2014 sent documents with RFE letter to Nebraska Service Center via USPS priority mail

09/07/2014 RFE packet was delivered

09/08/2014 USCIS received the RFE documents

09/17/2014 notified thru text that the petition was approved

Hi guys! This is our 180th day from the date of filing so we called USCIS about our status. The USCIS representative told us that our case was just recently transferred to our local USCIS office so we should wait for 10 days to get some notice from the local office. I don't know what notice was she talking about (i hope it's approval notice). So hopefully next week we can get our approval.

FYI. We just got touched on 08/06/2010.

Same thing happened to my friend. Her case transferred to CSC and after 2 months they transferred it again in a local office. After a week she recieved an interview notice. Might same thing happen to u. Goodluck!

Well....Pat's going to call USCIS today. It's been 6 months since we filed and according to the USCIS website the current processing time is 4 months as of June 30, 2010....so we are WAY past that. We'll see what they say in a bit!

Good morning All, Congratulations to all new changes and/or approvals.. It seems February has been one of the longest process but I am still around praying and wishing the best for those still pending.. Sorry for the late coming, I been out on vacation but back to reality..
