I have found out that once after I turned in my applications. That's why my EAD is delaying. You mean that you have seen one person whose case is same as mine, got EAD ?

I think they changed the time we get mail. It's been this way for a week now. It's 2:30pm and no mail, normally we would have gotten it about 45 minutes ago. How annoying.

I think it was two days between the 2nd and 3rd notice. We got the original text on 4/26, USCIS sent an email on 5/3, we got another text on 5/5 and the EAD arrived on 5/6.

Hmmm...not sure what's going on then because we got the first email on April 30th, the second on May 12th and nothing since! :angry:

And I'm seriously getting frustrated about his GC....seeing that 3/18/2010 date still on it is depressing! :crying:

This may be a stupid question, but I was wondering -- since I've already been approved for a Green Card but don't actually HAVE it in hand, would I still be able to travel to Portland to Vegas on a plane using my Canadian passport? I'm not too sure if I'll be getting it yet (I received a notification that it's being produced, but I don't know how long that is going to take) but since I'm only traveling in the US, would it be okay? I

You can use your EAD for traveling. Normally it takes 2~4 weeks. However, some people get it in 1 weeks.

Hi everyone,

We had our interview this morning. We arrived 45 minutes before our scheduled time. Adjudicator called us in right on time. She swore us in. She asked where and when we met, when did I propose, who cooks, who manages the finances, and when do we plan on leaving the U.S. She also asked my wife the questions regarding communist party, overthrow the government, and the like. She then said that our interview was finished. She will review our case and contact us by mail IF there is anything she needs. :unsure:

I thought that was somewhat strange, though...the fact that she needed to review the case more. We submitted all the required forms, as well as all of the supporting evidence/documentation of mingling of financial resources, etc. I understand that this is NOT REQUIRED for the initial submission. But I thought it would save time and energy having all the required evidence with our case.

Anyway, I get the feeling she did not review our case prior to the interview. She was surprised that I, a U.S. citizen, studied in the Philippines. When in fact, I had answered that in the G-325A form. Anyway, no big deal. I understand adjudicators have many, many cases to review. However, it would have been nice hearing, "OK, you're approved!" :yes:

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The whole interview was about 10 minutes! My wife and I left the office in a very good mood!

Ugh, I tried making an infopass to see if I could get my EAD faster because I need SOMETHING for my driver's appointment on the 27th and the first available appointment is the 27th.

Geeze, I really don't want to wait any longer to get some form of state ID.

Ended up booking an infopass appointment anyway, for June 1st.

Kind of sucks we have to go to LA, but if I dont get my EAD or green card by then, I really want them to do SOMETHING. They're putting my whole life on hold here, I cant even get a job.

Actually, now I have a question.

Did anyone actually receive notices in the mail saying that their AP and EAD was approved? It says that they mailed me notices but I never EVER got any. I got my actual AP, but no approval notice.

Is this normal? :blink:
