I was asked if I ever belonged to the nazi's.

He was just reading off the list we had to answer when we first sent the package. No need to be offended by it.

I guess due to the days we are living those are valid questions.. but irrational on their part to think or even consider in getting real answers. Yes, I am affiliated to those organizations

IO - ooohh ok, sorry no GC for you.. but you have the right to appeal my decision, lol

Wow, he didn't have you surrender your I-94 or give you a letter or explain removal of conditions?

I thought they HAD to do that, especially take away the I-94!

Congrats none the less though!

- Not for me, I've been waiting for like 17 days now.

Nope, they didn't. I hope they send me information on where to send everything :)

Not sure what is really going on there but it seems their "new system" or new GC production [as mentioned in prior postings] or whatever is happing there is creating a lot of conflict, ?

you have two production's orders.. and my wife received an email yesterday saying that on the 11th, they order the production of her GC.. this is the first email she gets on this, but we received the GC.. I really dont get their system/processing

I got my second card production ordered email today for my green card.

Apparently it's normal... or something. I heard a lot of people in the Canadian section getting it.

Hey everyone,

I had my interview today in Garden City, NY. It was scheduled for 1:00 pm. We got there at 11:30, but went next door at Mc Donald's for Brunch first. We entered the building at 12 pm , submitted our interview letter at counter 2, and waited. Around 12:30, my name was called, and along with the names of about 10 other people. We were all taken to another waiting room upstairs (2nd floor) of the same building. My hubby and I waited for another 45 mins-1 hour before my name was called. The IO greeted us with a big smile on her face and was extremely pleasant (GREAT SIGN). As soon as she greeted us, she actually said, "Your file is really organized and in order, so I really won't be keeping you guys long today." YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Just what I wanted to hear. She went on to explain that some people don't organize their files probably, but ours was really well done. The whole time she's telling us this, she was just smiling and being really friendly. We were really comfortable by the time we got to her office. She then swore us in, told us to bring our chairs closer, and asked my hubby for is identity (aka passport, driver's license etc). Of course before he could do anything, I pulled out my folder that had his passport in it. She then asked me for my birth certificate. In terms of questions, she asked my hubby

1. How did you meet?

2. Where did you meet?

3. When did you meet?

He's really good with dates and information, so he did excellently.

4. Why did you decide to get married? ( He paused for a while before he answered that one. Of course I wanted to freak out at the time because the pause seemed like it lasted forever. However, he explained to me after that he didn't want to give the IO some 'ole generic answer. He wanted to give her a really good special answer. awwwww, kinda cute now, but it wasn't cute at first). In the end, he gave her an awesome answer, to which she said, "awwwwwwwwwww". I was so proud of him and no longer freaking out. LOL

She then asked me

1. Tell me about your relationship?

2. Why did you decide to get married?

3. At some point she asked me if I had ever met his parents and if we have a good relationship

She then looked through our wedding album, to which she commented that my wedding dress was awesome, and she really liked certain pics, which she decided to keep. She was like, "you two kids are wonderful, I must keep this one (referring to the pic she was watching"). She asked us when did we get married? To which I replied that we had two weddings. She asked us why? MY hubby said we just decided to have a civil wedding and a church wedding. She asked my hubby if I was still in school, to which he replied that I had just finished my MS degree, and I am starting a chemisty teaching job in September. She then asked us if we had any joint possessions. I pulled out my file with my docs for our joint health insurance, light bill, phone bill, cell phone bill, retirement plan, joint bank account etc etc. At this point she said, "congratulations, you are approved. We really need more chemistry teachers in this country. If you'd like to wait around for another 30-45 mins, we'll stamp your passport so that you can travel. " I was ecstatic. The whole interview lasted 10 mins. We waited around for another 30 mins, until they called me again, and I collected my passport with my I 551 stamp in it. They also give me a letter informing me when to apply for removal of conditions.

While I was writing this, I got a text message saying that my I 485 was updated. Just checked the case online, it saids "Card Production Ordered". Praise the Lord for HIS grace and mercy
