I don't know if its affecting any of you but the USCIS website wouldnt let me in due to an error telling me I have accessed the site too much (wierd as I didn't log in for almost a month!) I called them up and they said this was an error from the site that should be fixed soonish.

Yeah, it seems to be affecting everyone.

I hope they get it fixed soon... and get my EAD to me too!

And with the new green card, are they going to just be printing out new ones as of that day or are they reprinting every single valid green card?

EDIT: Answered it for myself when I read the article, harhar.

Wonder if I'm getting the new or old one...

They asked for his passport when we were in the interview but I'm not sure its required if you have their birth cert and stuff.

So here is my review!

Our appointment was at 9:35. We got to the civic center at 9:15 but due to our lack of knowledge we parked in a spot way away from where building 34 is. We didn't get to the building until 9:25, going through security was fast, and we got up to the waiting room at 9:27. We had to wait FOREVER! It wasn't until after 10 that we were finally called. We were taken to a room, told to remain standing and then we were sworn in. The IO asked me where I was from, asked if it was our first marriages and then asked me jokingly if I was sure I wanted to be with Wes. He asked how we got down to California, when we started talking, when we met, and when he proposed, and then we talked a lot about random things like Niagra Falls, cuz he has family around there. He asked me for anything I had joint, our passports and my EAD and AP. He told me we were approved and that he was going to go photocopy our things (ATM, Costco, AAA, and health cards). When he got back he handed me a letter to say I was approved and one on the removal of conditions, and he told me if I need proof of status for an employer before my greencard comes in to just make an infopass and bring the letter with me. Easy peasy!

WOOHOO...congrats Danu!!!

My interview is at 9:15 wednesday (tomorrow) morning. I'll report back :)

Good Luck today!!!

Ok, glad to hear it's not just me...lol! I mean, I know I access the site a lot but not THAT much...lol!:wacko:

Had my interview today.

Appointment was at 9:15, but we got there at 8:45 and got taken right in. We were done within 15 minutes.

Basic questions, where were you born, where do you live, show me proof of relationship (pictures, documents, etc), where/when did you get married, are you a terrorist, etc.

He didn't take my I-94, or any of my other documents.. he didn't advise me about the removal of conditions or anything like that. It was very in/out/easy. We were very prepared with a nice binder, etc, so perhaps being very prepared did the trick.

So, Approved, but I didn't get a letter or stamp or anything. He just said you'll get your GC in the next 2-4 weeks.

A bit anticlimatic. I would have liked to leave with a document or something. heh.

Hi Unique, I was going back through the posts (to reread interview experiences) and found I forgot to reply to your post.

You were right!! (although it was Saturday May 1, not Sunday May 2. But close enough!) Thanks for the assurance during my time of anxiety. Khobkhunkha ;)

Yeah, something like "Have you ever taken part in, or been associated with someone who was part of terrorist activities" or something of that sort. It was pretty funny.

"Why, yes. Yes, I have."

?? What do they expect? heh

Wow, he didn't have you surrender your I-94 or give you a letter or explain removal of conditions?

I thought they HAD to do that, especially take away the I-94!

Congrats none the less though!

Your EAD will get to you on the 9th day start count from your card production ordered day. On May 2nd, right?

- Not for me, I've been waiting for like 17 days now.
