I did! It was in the luggage we used to move, just like I thought. He however didn't think it would be there lol. Interview is at 9:35

Thank goodness! Men never listen. :P I love mine but he's been independent for so long he forgets that other people can be helpful too!

Getting a little nervous -- interview is already next week (May 17th to be exact!) Eeeeeeps. Getting everything all ready to go: taxes, bank statements, cell phone bills. I'm having a friend of mine write a reference letter, and my in-laws (who i'm living with) to just write a simple agreement letter about how we live with them. Hope that's enough!

Good morning Feb. AOS filers!!!

I had interview May 10th 1pm and we were approved. It was very easy and nice interview. We were very nervous that we could hardly sleep day before. :) Here are details.

Our appointment time was 1:00pm.We arrived office 12:40 pm. We left our notice letter to the tray. There are about 30 people waiting in the waiting area.

It seems there were no people working on that window since it was lunch time.

Since there were many people waiting, we expected that we had to wait hours but my name was called about 1:10 pm.

Officer Ms. Rizzo, introduced herself and told us the she would interview us this afternoon.

She took us to her room and asked us to stand up and raise our right hand and promises tell truth.

She first asked us to show our ID so we gave our driver’s license and passport.

She checked both our driver’s license front and back and see if our address is same and verified with her computer. We had to explain because our actual address and application address was different. (We’ve been looking for a house, so we put my husband’s parents’ address) She asked us if we wanted to change the address in their system. We said no.

She verified our birth date and SS #.

Then she asked me to show my work permit so I told her that I looked up USCIS website and my card was ordered in April 29th but I haven’t received it. Then she asked me if I had my E2 visa approved notice. I told her that I had never received it. She asked me if my E2 visa was still valid so I had to tell her that I was laid off on March 31st 2010.

She asked me if last year was the first US entry. I told her and my first entry to US was Nov. 2000. Then she looked through my passport and seemed to look through my entry stamp. (I have a lot of US entry stamp since Nov 2000…) She asked me twice that if I had J1 visa. I said no. I had H1B visa when I entered to the US Nov. 2000. (I do not know why she asked me twice about that…) Then she asked me if I had ever overstayed.

Next, she stared asking me about 20 questions such as “Are you terrorist?” “Have you ever committed crimes” “Have you ever been in jail?” “Have you ever brought any illegal items such as drugs?” “Have I ever applied Visa without telling true?” “Have I ever applied GC with someone else?”

All the answer was no.

Anyway, after that she checked my husband financial documents which we already submitted with application. (His 3 months pay stub, his 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 W2, his tax file for 2006, 2007 and 2008) She asked us if we brought tax file for 2009. I gave her his copy.

She checked my I693 which I already submitted with my application and she said that everything looked fine.

Then she asked to my husband if he still worked same company. She also verified with me my former employer. She verified our wedding date, location, and if we had children, if we had married before. If my husband had filled petition other than me before. She asked to my husband if he knows my parents name.

She asked us if we brought any document to prove live together, so we gave her utility bills, gym membership application, most recent bank statement, cell phone bills, cell phone family plan agreement in 2008 and auto insurance bill. She asked us if we had joint lease agreement so we both explained to her that we do no because he moved to my condo which I already own and in order to add his name on my lease, we had to re-finance but we did not want to do it because we’ve been looking for a house and eventually, we would sell this property. She kept all the copies and put them in her folder.

She lastly asked us how we met.

She said that she approved us and she explained we need to apply remove conditions 2 years later.

Since we brought bunch of pictures, we mentioned about it so she looked a little bit but it seems that she did not care anymore. We chatted about our travel to Japan and wedding. That was it.

She walked with us to the exit door and she said that I would receive GC in about 2 weeks.

We left building about 1:45pm. Interview was about 30 minutes long.

She was very professional and nice officer.

I hope this expericen help you....

Good luck everyone!!

Any updates for Feb filers who got their AOS transferred to CSC?

Not a single touch on AOS (I-485) since the time it was received. Good thing we have the EAD and AP (on which she's traveling right now).

Just had my interview.

It was nice and easy, no tricky questions. I had a feeling that they just want to check information that you already filled in the application.

The officer just asked to see updated joint bank and property accounts, checked my birth certificate and she spent good part of the interview looking at a photo album. The photo album must be very important for them to show that the marriage is legit.

If you are waiting for your interview and felling anxious and nervous, don't be! They are not there to "screw" you but to avoid fraud.

I was approved but did not get a stamp, I asked about it and she said that they are only giving it to people that are travelling abroad in less than 10 business days - she said that the GC is being shipped very quickly.

Important: She couldn't stress more the importance of filling I-751 90 days before 2 years and she maid us sign a document that we understood that I'll be out of status if I do not send it.

Good luck to all.

Cheers,

Congratulations to all new approvals..

and Hoping the rest of crew get some activity soon.. it is so unpredictable the way they work.. Online system doesn’t really service any good but stresses the heck out of people..

Good Luck on Thursday! I'm sure you'll do just fine!!!

They asked for his passport when we were in the interview but I'm not sure its required if you have their birth cert and stuff.

So here is my review!

Our appointment was at 9:35. We got to the civic center at 9:15 but due to our lack of knowledge we parked in a spot way away from where building 34 is. We didn't get to the building until 9:25, going through security was fast, and we got up to the waiting room at 9:27. We had to wait FOREVER! It wasn't until after 10 that we were finally called. We were taken to a room, told to remain standing and then we were sworn in. The IO asked me where I was from, asked if it was our first marriages and then asked me jokingly if I was sure I wanted to be with Wes. He asked how we got down to California, when we started talking, when we met, and when he proposed, and then we talked a lot about random things like Niagra Falls, cuz he has family around there. He asked me for anything I had joint, our passports and my EAD and AP. He told me we were approved and that he was going to go photocopy our things (ATM, Costco, AAA, and health cards). When he got back he handed me a letter to say I was approved and one on the removal of conditions, and he told me if I need proof of status for an employer before my greencard comes in to just make an infopass and bring the letter with me. Easy peasy!
