Thanks and your feelings were conveyed perfectly, but please share your approval with excitement...despite our lack of progress we share the same joy of everyone's success.

As for being transferred early in the process, I don't think any of us really understood exactly what that meant or USCIS reasoning behind deciding to transfer our cases. From reading other prior VJ AOS threads it seemed that being transferred was the way to go. It is very clear that even though VJ gives us great advice and support through this process, everyone's case is handled differently. We were not trying to dampen your experience but this thread is here so that we can share the good and the bad experience of this process. So our heartfelt CONGRATS!!!goes out to you and your SO.

Take care and God Bless

To you and ImWaiting, thanks. I just felt I need to voice that out, but yes I am still happy. But I guess I'll rejoice now!

For everyone's benefit, my interview went well this morning. We came 30 minutes early but the officer picked us up in the waiting area 20 minutes later from the scheduled time. So, I can say we waited about an hour. Her question that was really related to our relationship was how we met. The rest of the questions were those information already found in the forms. It's a painless interview. She approved us, and told us at the end that it was her first time conducting an interview. ;)

I know I have no option but to wait..

although here's a question..

I noticed that most people have gotten a notice that their case was transferred.. I never got such notice

Has anyone not received a notice that their case transferred? if mine is still at national benefits center.. what would that mean?

piscesforever - Please don't ever thing that just because we are unhappy about our situation we wouldn't be happy about your's! I'm so excited for you that the interview went well and you were approved!! CONGRATS!!!!

Cynthia - I agree with you 100%....at the time we all got transferred, that was the "best" way according to just about everyone here on VJ...in a way it still is since we "probably" won't have to have an interview but the fact that they don't seem to be going as fast as they once did is what is so frustrating...at least to me that is! I know we'll get there..eventually...LOL!

lll-lll - CONGRATS!! So happy that everything went smoothly at your interview yesterday!!!

Allie and Nigel - First..Happy Birthday Nigel! And GOOD LUCK today!!

fPf_iMc and Mark - Congrats on your approvals!!!

If I missed anyone's approvals, please forgive me and Congrats!! So much happening last night I couldn't keep up...lol!

Congrats to all the approvals, EADs and everything. We all know it's really tough waiting because we all had to wait. I waited for a month, (with no touches, no notifications or anything) between my biometrics and receiving my IL. And again, I have to wait for another month before the interview. Everyone just wants it to be over, and we all understand that because we are all in the same boat. During the month I was waiting, I found some comfort in checking the timelines of November, December and January filers ( especially those in my area - NY) to get an idea of how long it will take before my IL would arrive. Even though it was a very frustrating month, when I realized that most people took a month to get the IL (after doing biometrics), it helped me feel a little better. If it's any help to the people that got transferred to the CSC, I noticed for some of the Jan filers, it took about a month and a half after the biometrics (or their cases were transferred) to hear something. I really don't mean to be insensitive, and I understand that you guys wanted to vent, but really daily worrying or venting doesn't really help things move faster, and come to think about it, the negativity is a little bit contagious. From the timelines of the Feb filers, you guys look like you will hear something soon. You guys seem to have the same timeline as IMwaiting, (who seems to have just heard from USCIS ) . I don't mean to offend anyone, but the venting and frustration really isn't helping you all nor anyone else. Keeping a positive outlook always makes one feel better; whereas the worry and frustration will make you feel better for a moment and then end up making you feel worse.

I wish everyone the best; and of course what I express is my own opinion for my situation, and I guess everyone is free to approach this situation the best way they think they should approach it. I know I was one of the people who had said, "Patience is key" before because that worked for me. I apologize if that hurt anybody; but "not having patience" doesn't help either.

No offense taken here, candhan....everyone is totally entitled to speak their minds in my opinion. And your right as well...the venting and negitivity isn't good but sometimes its unavoidable. I know that if I'd kept holding my tongue and not saying what I did I'd have eventually erupted..but that's just me. I feel that if there is only one place where we can come and freely speak our minds, get things off our chests, then HERE is that place because most everyone is either going through the same thing or has already been through it. And in my case...that one post...helped tremendously! I have hope again...I see everyone that was stuck like we are getting approved and I know our approval is just around the corner as well!

If I offended anyone then I'm sorry...that was not my intention...I just HAD to get those things off my chest and out of my mind. And now I'm left with an empty space in my head again...LOL!!!:whistle:

Will do, just had a busy few days! Been working part time for my FIL to help him get plaques ready for the graduating students, and today I had a job interview. I got the job, but will probably continue to look as well as taking this one. Its a good job, just too heavily reliant on commissions for my comfort.

Thanks for your updates. Plus congrats to getting a job. You'll be fine.

Hey all,

I didnt have any touches on EAD and AP until this week since 22nd feb, now I'm getting touches all over the place (about 3 on all three applications)... but it was over 8 weeks before there was any movement on EAD or AP.. I also rang the USCIS help line to check why, they just said they cant do anything until the 90 days is up.. Not sure if this helps anyone else to know, as im in the fortunate position where its now a race between EAD and GC arriving, but lizandpat our timelines are quite similar so I'm sure you'll hear something by the start of next week...

I honestly think if there was something wrong you'd have RFE, as it is its probably just sat on someone's desk (a very lazy someone obviously) but USCIS said for me to ring back on 17th May if I still hadn't heard anything (three months from the receipt date on my NOA) so at least its not too long until that date when you can demand action...

Hoping you hear something soon!!! :bonk:
