You know when the process takes so much energy out of you that even good news are not as exciting as they should be. I got a text to check my case status. USCIS they order production of the "new" card today. But honestly, I will not believe it until we received it. Even at this point, nothing on the AP or EAD, but if this is true, I will assume those other two are meaningless [whatever]

I am not sure if I should be happy or just annoyed for draining out my energy..

Liz, I know we were venting before and your case load/timeline is similar to mine.. I wished you can see the same results shortly..

Sorry, to the rest, is just we were venting out due to extreme frustration..

My interview experience

This morning we went there 20 minutes earlier than the appointment time. After security check, we had waited 15 minutes as a couple arrived before us had been called. Then the woman came to us and call my name then said to follow her to her office. She introduced her name and told us be seated. She took off my I-94 from my passport and then opened my files. Asked many questions as am I a terrorist?......

- When did we meet?

- How we met?

- How long we meet in person?

- How I proposed and when?

- How many people attended our church/wedding dinner ?

- Have children or not?

- Any photos that showed our relationship

I gave her an album and guest book. She had looked our wedding photos thoroughly. Then asked the evidence of our financial relationship. So I gave joint account, health insurance card, retirement beneficiary. The officer also asked for AP and EAD. Then I gave her. She asked me would you plan to go travel? I said yes, we planned to travel domestically. So she returned my EAD as a proof of ID. She said that congratulation as she will recommend me to approve. And give the approval letter to me. Told me wait for minutes cuz she want to copy the evidence I gave. after few minutes, she came back and then said my green card will be in the mail within 3 weeks. WoW!!! Finally, she told me I have to mail my EAD with a copy of approved letter given to the office after I got my actual green card. I said "Thank you very much". We shook our hand and she brought us to the door.

She is a very nice officer and friendly. Our interview was only taken 15 minutes.

We were venting yesterday how frustrated is to see people with the same timeline getting movement and approvals.. It is incredible how depressing that could be and so much energy consumption.

I know! And then to come here and find out someone who filed a whole month after we did got approved yesterday didn't help. Like I said earlier, I'm very happy for them....just highly frustrated with CSC right now! :crying:
