I just spent 20 min on the phone with USCIS they said that WI courts screwed up. They SHoudl have changed it.

No they want me to write her maried name on the petition. and after the card comes in they will change the SS name and then the DL .

Kinda #### backwards if you ask me.

EXAMINE WHAT YOU BELIEVE TO BE IMPOSSIBLE, THEN CHANGE YOUR BELIEF !!!

I have found out that once after I turned in my applications. That's why my EAD is delaying. You mean that you have seen one person whose case is same as mine, got EAD ?

I think they changed the time we get mail. It's been this way for a week now. It's 2:30pm and no mail, normally we would have gotten it about 45 minutes ago. How annoying.

Haha yes that happens to me sometimes too.

I just saw that there was a touch/LUD on my I-485 & I-765. There's been activity every day over the last three days. Wonder what they're doing.

I had to go and send our AOS off just before the holiday. Don't tell me I don't know about good timing. :lol:

Maybe you'll be one of the lucky one's that gets transferred to CSC....hopefully they are looking at it all and getting it ready to move there!

Most welcome Vega! Anything I can do to help. They definately should have changed it, its wierd that they didn't but at least now you have a course of action :D

Cammie - Its very nice to finally be here. Its good at least knowing that during this part I can do it while I'm with him instead of from 3k miles away!

We just got back from SS office. what a mess. They took all of out information. And will decide later on how to fix the name change situation.

Their Computer system will not allow them to change a name if I-94 is expired. Now thats BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!! ON a K-1 visa, the I94 date is 90 days from POE. Now we can get married on the 90th day of I-94. That will leave all of the other institutions saying that the K-1 holder out of status ( according to them). I have stated to them that the information they have is incorrect. And they cannot base their decisions on the date of I-94. It simply will not work.

They have copied all of our documents and made us fill another SS form .. with proper names. Maybe they will do it a s a mistake correction. I do not know at this point. The USCIS guy on the phone yesterday stated that SS office dropped the ball and that on I-485 i should write the married name.

So the Green card will come with the correct name.

Never a dull moment. :-)

Hi Snivvel,,, did you do your biometrics in SFO application support center. Did you have any issues doing a early biometrics?
