I need my EAD to get my license.

Chase REQUIRES a license to get onto my husband's bank account.

My Canadian one expired. I have an SSN, but they want a license, passport and SSN.

That IS ridiculous and, from what I've read on VJ and experienced myself, different from the majority of banks. I'm sorry that Chase is being assinine. The majority seem to require only an SSN and a valid form of identification, such as a passport. I suppose if you are afraid you don't have enough evidence of your joint lives, you two could go to a different bank and open a joint account just for the sake of having one. But I suspect you will have enough evidence to get past the interview.

Also, as someone else mentioned, if your husband has health insurance through his job he can get you added to that. I did that as well but forgot to mention it. The insurance company needed only my wife's SSN, copy of her passport ID page, and copy of our marriage certificate.

Also, how about a will (as in Last Will and Testament)?--if your husband has a will naming you as a beneficiary (and vice versa for your own will), that would seem to be a nice bit of evidence. You can find software to make a will if you don't want to use a lawyer. Another legal document you could make is a Healthcare Power of Attorney, where you give someone such as your spouse the power to make decisions about your health care if you become incapable. Again, there's probably software out there for this.

We wont get medical insurance till the end of May and he has no will.

I think we're going to try with what we have and see what happens.

I'll look into that last thing you mentioned. It sounds like a good thing to have in general.

You and me both, girl!! It's getting mighty hard to see people who filed after us getting notifications that EAD/AP or AOS has been approved and card production ordered. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them but it's just so darn frustrating!

Hey, I think we have almost the same timeline, and until now I still have no updates since my bio appointment too. I agree with you. Though we're happy to see these approvals for our co-VJers, it makes you wonder, what could be wrong with my application???

Y'know, I don't think I've been to an airport that has different lines for US Citizens/Permanent Residents.

But if I ever see one, I'll be using it!

Toronto doesn't seem to have that kind of thing, and LAX (the terminal I fly from) doesn't even do customs, they leave it all up to Toronto, haha.

I'll look into that last thing you mentioned. It sounds like a good thing to have in general.

From what I experienced you should be fine.. Yea it's better to have that stuff, but as you have valid reasons why you don't have them, and knowledge about why you are showig them that you intend to do all those things.. Unless u get a complete nightmare IO u should be ok. They looked at none of my evidence, and I didn't get approved straight away, you'd have thought they'd have looked at tha stuff as he wanted to "further review" the case. Who knows!!! We joined a library.. Gave us proof of same address and me using married name etc and we needed nothing official to join... That's something you could do maybe? Good luck!!

Congrats, Snivvel!

It almost seems like people who are given interviews often end up getting the GC sooner than those whose cases were transferred to CSC and not interviewed. There must be quite a stack of these transferred cases at the CSC.
