We had the AOS interview on Monday~~ and I just couldn't even talk about it til now. It was a nightmare. I am researching and being proactive in case there is a denial.

We got to the Chicago office an hour early full of excitement. Our IO was Officer Lee and she swore us in and started questioning my husband. He was nervous and forget how old my son is. Then came the questioning on when he entered America for the first time, and when he came back. He had all the right answers. She asked him 3 times if he was married in Jordan, if he had EVER been married before me and if he has children. Every time he said no.

This is where it got ugly~~~~she looked at me and said, "I see this everyday" then she looked at my husband and said in a stern voice "i KNOW what you are doing, and I know that YOU know that I know" ....well his english is good but he did not follow at all what she was saying. She said this interview is over and I will walk you out. She said she will send a decision within 30 days. She kept all the photos and the mail we had received together.

I was in shock at her tone, he was scared and we left. I cried all the way home. We had some serious talks about what she could have seen in his file. I called my congress liason and she said this officer is usually fair. If this is a denial, he does not want to appeal in a court. He wants to go home. I called USCIS and if denied we can file a new CR1 and start over blink.gif . He would go back and interview in Jordan. If denied he would have 30 days to leave. I guess I can go over and visit in a few months. I dont want to do DCF, I am his sponser.

His first reaction was for us to move to Jordan permanently. I dont really want to do that. Its a great country and all, but I dont want to live there. So.......we wait for the letter and then plan for the future.

Thanks for all your support and I wish the best for all of you. (oh...she DID take out the I94 in the beginning, but handed it back to him.)

I hope everything will be okay :(

Though, I think before they have the right to deny you, they have to put you through a 2nd interview? I'm not 100% sure about this, but keep positive!

I'll keep you two in my thoughts.

Darn [for lack of better words]... Sorry to hear the horrible feedback and experience lived at that office. All I can offer is my sympathies and best wishes for a fast solution..

I am so sorry that you had such an horrible experience. I had a bad experience too at my first interview and I know how it feels.I guess I was luckier( if you can call that lucky) because we were separated questioned, my husband was threatened and told to drop the petition or else ...but when they realized that we won't give up they approved my I-130 .

My question is : were you separated and had the answer compared or they didn't even bother to do that? if they did that and confronted you about the

differences than that is bad...and I would contact a lawyer to see what it can be done...

If they didn't separate you than you can expect a second interview soon. I don't think they will give you a straight denial unless there is something really wrong with your case. Anyway they will send you first a notice of intent to deny (NOID)and they will explain the reason and give you the chance to write a rebuttal letter and I would also contact a lawyer for that.

If your marriage is for real and you love each other don't give up...I know it's not going to be easy but in my opinion is worth fighting for...

Good luck with your case!

That sounds horrible. I hope your second interview goes much better! Don't let this ruin your day. Perhaps your husband has a name that is the same or close to somebody elses and they have made a mistake. Either way, the truth will always come out and everything will have to be sorted out before there is a final ruling. Good luck Jackie!!

I hope your husband appeals the decision and does not go back to Jordan feeling defeated. If he has nothing to hide, he will prevail on appeal. Keep the faith!

i went for my AOS interview today at USCIS office in Seattle.the interview was 10;45am and got there 10;26am,went through the normal security checks.submitted my appointment letter which was scanned and was ask wait with my lovely wife at the main waiting hall.we were there for about 30minutes when a white woman in her early sixty called to a room.we stood to swear an oat before she started with her question.

HOW DID YOU MEET?

WHERE WAS IT

FOR HOW LONG WE COMMUNICATE BEFORE WE MEET EACH OTHER

MY PLACE OF BIRTH AND CURRENT ADDRESS.

She went the AOS forms yes or no questions and after that ask for any that approves that we both lived in the same address.we show our banks statement, our state ids with both address on and car insurance and prove of pregnancy.we did try to show our wedding pictures but said that is okay because she have seen most of our pictures which we used in the k1 visa.she said everything is okay and saw smile on her face for the first and said congratulation, you have been approved and since you just married your green card is conditional one and as such it is for only two years and must file for lift of the conditional in 90 days this green card expires.that was all.my wife and myself were so happy and thank the woman.i think it lasted for about 15mins and was friendly and cool things.but must prepare adequately for AOS interview because what kind question you may be ask.i check my STATUS AND IT SAIDS CARD ORDER PRODUCTION.WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOO I AM SO GLAD AT LAST THE JOURNEY HAS COME TO SUCCESSFUL END.I WISH EACH AND EVERYONE ALL THE BEST IN THEIR INTERVIEWS AND APPLICATIONS FILED.GOD BLESS US ALL.
