Very worried but I'm not at home so I don't even know if I have the NOAs or a RFE for I-130.

They wouldnt have issued an RFE for a packet they havent made an NOA for. Its possible to get an NOA before the cheque is cashed, but if you were missing anything major they would just send the whole packet back to you. I'm not sure if its common for them not to be done at the same time though, wish I could give a better answer.

Good news, my bank just "posted" the second check. Both deposited on 02/11, $1,010 posted on 02/12 and the $355 posted on 02/16. I hope to have my NOAs waiting for me. Thanks,

Checked on our money orders this morning...they haven't been cashed yet... :(

We just got back from CS. My wife got another MMR shot, even though in Ukraine they said she would not have to get anymore.

They knew exactly what needed to be done. And walked me through it. $35.. for supplemental transcription of immunizations and $72.00 for an MMR shot.

But we got the envelope sealed in 10 minutes. Now just the tax stuff and mailing the envelope.

I read happy posts.. please explain to me.. what is the BIOMETRICS?. And why everyone is so happy?

EXAMINE WHAT YOU BELIEVE TO BE IMPOSSIBLE, THEN CHANGE YOUR BELIEF !!!

Completed my Biometrics this morning (Walk-In)... they didn't even mention the fact that my regular appointment is two weeks out

@Vegabond: Biometrics is the step where USCIS takes your picture and fingerprints for the EAD and Green Card. It's usually the last step before they issue work authorization and give you your interview notice (if you have an interview). And we're all happy because things are moving smoothly so far (knock on wood!)

Quick question for you guys... when specifically will you actually be considered "pending AOS" status? Is it when you submitted all requirements, or is it when it's going to be signed as received?

I'm going crazy with all the paperwork. Still in the process of filing, but with the exception of the copies of the marriage certificate and the medical exam, and also the photos - I think we have everything we need.

Good luck to those who are in process of filing!

I believe you are considered "pending AOS" after your package is received by USCIS and they sent you an NOA1 (Receipt Notice) documenting that your case is pending.

Submission alone is not enough, as you won't be pending AOS if, for example, you miss a signature on a form or didn't pay the right amount. That will cause them to send the entire package back to you (I don't think they deny outright). Either way, you'll want the NOA1.

Good luck to you as well!!
