Yep. He and his dad are driving all the way to Florida. I expect them some time late tomorrow night or Wednesday morning. :)

Pfft...lightweights! Two drivers can't make it down there by tomorrow morning? They could just trade off at midnight! :P

It's a long way to Florida.

It's 1279 miles according to Google. It's not straight down I-95, the shortest route doesn't have them hit I-95 until Savannah, GA. It is about 21 hours plus stops, maybe a hotel stay, and weather/traffic problems.

Yeah, I've made that drive quite a number of times. Very scenic until you get to South Carolina. lol. It takes about 19 hours to drive and then another two hours for stops. Unless you hit traffic problems. Then you're screwed. LOL

Yay for POE's! Which crossing did he use?

I got a text last night at 11:30pm that they stopped for the night in West Virginia. I haven't heard from him this morning to know when they left to plan when they'll get in. I am sure I'll hear something eventually.

I don't know which POE they used so I haven't changed my signature lol. I am thinking the Peace Bridge, but the last time I left Canada my directions took me through the Lewiston Bridge so who knows.

Today is my daughter's 7th birthday so last night I was up baking cupcakes for her class and this morning I was frosting them. It is raining here in Florida so kinda yucky but it is supposed to clear up later today. :)

If they're in WV it won't be long now. That's where I always stopped. Hopefully, there won't be any fog coming down out of the mountains. It's a boring drive from here on! LOL

How's that for coincidence! :lol:

So I figure they have 14 more hours to drive. I hope they left around 8am which, including stops, would put them in around midnight. I am not going into work tomorrow I've decided already.

Unfortunately, his dad is returning the rental to the Orlando airport, and flying back to Buffalo tomorrow afternoon. He is just going to take the first available flight back. He has another rental car that he left in Buffalo and he is reutning that one to Toronto. Then he has to fly back to Serbia where he lives and works!

I really wanted his dad to stay at least one day. Out of all of his immediate family, his dad is the one I have spent the least amount of time with. :(
