you should call USPS and find out what exactly that status means...

Couldn't find anything about the status on USPS website but on the UPS website they had a glossary over USPS Event Codes where 'missent' is listed as:

"USPS has missent the package and a delay is expected."

USPS tracking details :

Your item was misrouted. The error has been corrected and every effort is being made to deliver it as soon as possible. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

Further research(google) indicates that this can be caused by many reasons, most common being incorrect digit(s) in the zip code or usps employee error(as in, they put the package in the wrong bin). I am leaning towards the later, as the tracking slip has the correct zip. Fingers crossed.

The tracking slip has the correct zip, so it probably got sent to the wrong PO. I will wait till this weekend for any positive updates, else resend the whole set again (maybe with UPS).

Yes. Looking at some online questions somewhere else, it sounds like the package gets delivered to the wrong location, and then they have to correct it by sending it to the correct location.

It looks like they end up being delivered just a couple of days later.

That good news. You are correct, you should expect your NOA within a week or two.

Sent ours yesterday afternoon. Checked this morning and it said it was delivered this morning, but had a different zip code 92677...

I am just trying to figure out how fast VSC is working through the applications (workload). Atleast once the check is cleared you know that application has been accepted.

If its not much trouble, could THEPERRINS MANDE and LETTY also post when their checks is cashed ?

Welcome to VJ!

You mailed it on the 13th, which is a Saturday, and depending on your method of shipment (priority, 2 day delivery, etc...) it dictates when they received it. Monday was a holiday so they didn't work, and neither did USPS. Therefore, if assuming USPS delivered it Tuesday, USCIS will receive it Wednesday, which means only yesterday. I would honestly wait until Tuesday or Wednesday to see activity in your bank account.

This is the easy part in this segment of the journey.... so sit back, relax and enjoy your trip!

Thats what it shows for me too. Good news is FINALLY it shows as delivered ! Guess the only way to tell, is when the NOA1 is received(or check en cashed).

Thanks for your valuable response. Yes, due to the holiday the package was delivered on this Tuesday. What makes me curious is that some checks are cleared the very next day and some take a while (5-7 days). I was just wondering how my particular load for the week is handled because I need to submit a copy of my I-797 to my employer thus the curiosity and impatience.

Lets hope for the best. I got my fingers crossed

People please keep me posted when the checks are cleared. Then I know that things are moving in the right direction. Sorry about the rush !
