I think people who are waiting should be allowed to vent esp. when you see CSC is being more efficient.

bad weather is not a good enough reason to make us wait 3.5 months. sorry, I don't get your humour!

My comment was that we all have waited for 3.5 months.... and some others have waited much longer...

It wasn't meant as a bad comment or as a comment that suggested that there is no logic behind the frustration - but all I was trying to do is to let that person know that it is still normal for VSC to take this long, and I was hoping to ease that person's mind...

Any yes - absolutely - we need to vent.

Agree it can get pretty frustrating, but be realistic too. Following Dec, Jan, Feb thread will give you an idea of average processing times at VSC/CSC. Again, its "AVERAGE" processing time. It could take longer/shorter based on the complexity of your case.

I will share what got me through my wait - finding a new hobby. Human mind tends to go into the worry state when its idle too long. I was worried too, but soon realized the only thing gaining from this was my blood pressure.

Find something to kill time (other than checking your mail or status online) and your card will be in your hands before you know it.

While I certainly understand why it would be much nicer to have the actual 10-year greencard in our hands, I am not going to stress over the waiting time. After all, we are permanent residents, we have the extension letter which is as good as the greencard (as far as rights and permits go) and from what I can see from previos filers- chances of denial are slim!

So really, why stress? We are just going into month 4 now! This is still not terrible, considering that we have 12 months until our NOA expire.

It was a different thing with AOS, I admit I was really a bundle of nerves back then, but right now I don't see why I should stress myself out over the greencard. Unless you have some difficult circumstances to deal with, chances are good that it is just a matter of time until we all hold our little plastic card in our hands.

While I certainly understand why it would be much nicer to have the actual 10-year greencard in our hands, I am not going to stress over the waiting time. After all, we are permanent residents, we have the extension letter which is as good as the greencard (as far as rights and permits go) and from what I can see from previos filers- chances of denial are slim!

So really, why stress? We are just going into month 4 now! This is still not terrible, considering that we have 12 months until our NOA expire.

It was a different thing with AOS, I admit I was really a bundle of nerves back then, but right now I don't see why I should stress myself out over the greencard. Unless you have some difficult circumstances to deal with, chances are good that it is just a matter of time until we all hold our little plastic card in our hands.

Text message at 6.30 this morning "Your case has been updated", turning on the computer still asleep, and, praise God, there it is: ON APRIL 26TH, WE HAVE ORDERED THE PRODUCTION OF YOUR NEW CARD" :))))))

If one of the great helpers here on VJ could update my timeline here on this thread, I would appreciate it :) I'm using chrome and apparently I would lose the formatting :)

VSC is surely working at some of February filers, may all your cases be approved soon!

When you log into your account with USCIS you can enable to send updates to your email and cellphone.

If you did not create an account, it is simple and very quick. Also, you need to add your case # in the account. You should use the receipt number on your biometrics letter.

It looks like USCIS website is down - I was trying to include a link for you... will do that when the website is back online

WOO HOO, I just got a text that my case have been update. I won't get to excited yet, since I can't check the update with their site down, but I refuse to call the misinformation line. I guess after waiting 3 months (short by 1 day) I can wait a little longer. LOL, anyone knows how long they take to fix IT-issues, hope they are a little quicker with that than reviewing applications.

I didn't have to wait to long. I also received an email stating that on May 12 my card production has been ordered! Can someone update for me?
