sometimes i think the excitement clouds judgment

i mean we go in with all the best of intentions but sometimes, sadly, we just can't assess the person we "really" married

it's a hard lesson to learn

i get tired of talking sometimes Cheeto to get my needs met...if they would only hear us the first time

then all they hear is us "b!tching" it gets old quick

adapting is also hard for some. and as you know communication skills differ from person to person and culture to culture. takes work to get the skills down as well as a willingness for both parties to bend the neck if you know what i mean. always found it easier to take time and "take a breath ... and breathe". (i know ... should listen to myself sometimes).

did discover to be selective with the mirror approach for directness ... especially with a brazilian. only did that once ... and had to call the fire dept to put out those flames

it is a work in progress that's for sure

even I had to realize I hadn't lived with a man or had one present in my life for 3 years here in the states

so having him come was an adjustment for me as well and having to relearn co-habitation and boundaries

that is interesting to relearn. especially when you have to totally rebuild the home after the departure of the previous person.

So nice of you to say so. :luv: I do have my faults, for example, I still leave the toilet seat up. Actually, I don't, that just doesn't seem right to me.

That is just plain wrong. This isn't the tire swinging from the tree in the backyard, you're urinating not throwing a football. If you miss the target, clean it up.

i'm out guys

have a peaceful night!!

Take care!

i've got a few pet peeve items that are simple courtesy things people do. it will take time ... yet at this point the boys will probably learn first.

i helped my old neighbor teach her 10 & 12 year old boys how to be much better marksmen. after a few sessions of cleaning the toilet and floor ... well they discovered it was easier ... less fuss ... and quicker just to be neat (besides ... what if a girl they were interested in was visiting ... and needed to use after they did .. ) yes .. i didn't pull any punches ...

Good for you. It one takes a few seconds to learn the right way to do things. Now I notice that you haven't commented on my poem, any reason why, old friend. :crying:

Howdy all!

Long day today. But I get to teach about IRA, terrorism, British army mistreatment of Catholics, Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association, and then show a movie.

Woot.
