Good morning everyone! Getting a late start this morning, my MIL lent me a bunch of Janet Evanovich books, so my productivity and online time have both decreased drastically the last couple of days.

Yay K! Only six more days! I have to admit, when I read your first post this morning, I was like, huh? Who is 6? I know who what 5 is, do we have a new member? Apparently it is still too early in the morning for me and I need more sleep!

Is it OK if I vent a bit in here? I am a lot more comfortable with all of you, rather than the vent thread in the Canada forum.

So, everything is at NVC, getting together all the paperwork, which we had done back in August/September/October for the lawyer (don't get me started on that, why in hell they did not just send me a complete checklist in August still burns my butt). I stressed to hubby that we had to have original docs, and yes, we did need 2008/2007/2006 tax returns, so he'd better get 2007 fixed up (I don't get how you can file 2008 and not 2007, has something to do with his exwife and I don't understand). It was my understanding that ALL OF THIS WAS TAKEN CARE OF. So now, I have to actually drop off the originals with the lawyer a second time (she gave them all back to him after filing the I-130 because they don't like keeping originals in their files, understandably). Guess what? He never did get original copies of his divorce decrees (2, and he doesn't know what county his first divorce was in AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH), and he never did do his 2007 taxes. WHAT? We have had FOUR months to get all this together - IF I KNEW WE HAD TO. FRICK FRICK FRICK. I love him to death, but I am so ticked about this. And my time here is running short, dammit.

I don't mind, if you open the window first. The Canuck Forum isn't bad but we are far more battle hardened here. I've never met a lawyer who didn't like originals (I ask them to take copies and certify them) but that's not the big issue. I'm a bit OCD (you think?) so I have numerous copies of everything. When Mom and Pop went to Montreal, the USCIS lost half of Mom's documents, including one that I had sent in to the NVC four times. Lawyers tend not to worry that much about their clients, as Mom used to say, "it's not their stomach ache." Please be kind to DH, after all he's just a man. I hope he's tracked down the record of his first divorce and tell him to get his azz in gear and do his 2007 taxes. See if the IRS in your area has some provision to expedite processing. I assume DH at least knows the name of his first wife and the date of divorce. It shouldn't take more than an hour or two to track it down. I assume it was in Texas somewhere. Morning commies How's it going?

I got post cereal on sale yesterday for $1.50 a box. The kids are flipping out cause I NEVER buy them fruity pebbles and now they have two boxes of that and a box of cocoa pebbles. I got like 4 kisses and 6 hugs.

Good morning Sus. Two five-year old boyz on fruity pebbles, you're going to have fun tearing them off the ceiling. I was more into Fruit Loops, myself. I guess you can't buy love but hugs and kisses are only $1.50 a box.

I totally understand Val. My husband is lucky he remembers his wallet. He goes to school on Saturdays, so I make him a sandwich and stuff and pack him a lunch. This week he forgot it and he forgot his cash, left it in his other pants. Luckily he had his ATM card (which he didn't even think of, I had to tell him to take out money with his debit card and buy lunch).

As for paperwork, all of his was in a plastic bag all mixed up. I organized it for him and did everything with him while I was in Peru otherwise it would never have gotten done.... menz... sheesh!

None. I got a bag of everything bagels and cream cheese waiting for me.

Menz, those guyz iz azzholes. I rarely forget anything, that's not a good thing. Poor Luis, he's got to learn the first rule of menz, never show weakness. Grow a pair and walk it off, son. If you forget your lunch and wallet learn to adapt, improvise and overcome, eat dirt, it's nature's natural food. Takes just like chicken.

If he doesn't get his act in gear I'd put chili powder in his underwear. He'll be motivated to move as expeditiously as possible. In Texas, if your eyes don't start bleeding when eating spicy food, then it's not hot enough.
