Hai Nina! When will he be released? He must have had one heck of an infection.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

They think he will be discharged tomorrow. They want to pump more antibiotics through his IV before they send him home. The abscess was huge... The incisions is about 4-5 inches long and about 1.5 inches deep.

did they find oil? :o

hope when you filed your claim ... you also filed for mineral rights ...

They didnt stitch the incision because it has to heal inside out. So they packed the incision with gauze and they asked me if I could change the packing by myself after they discharge him.. I said that I would pass out. So they are arranging to send a home nurse to check the bandages once he is released.

Yes... They found a way to end our foreign dependence on oil

Ouch, Nina! It was the same with me, but I had to go to the surgeon everyday because they wanted to make sure that it really stays open. Prepare your husband for some pain, the first few times it really hurts when they change the bandage, I almost passed out. (and I had the surgery without any anesthetic!)

I wish Nagi.. I am going to have to ask my MIL to take a few days off to help me. She is a nurse and I am sure she can do it.

I made sure that I wasnt in the room when they change his packing.. He said that it hurt a lot :crying: We are getting a home nurse, but they want to teach it to someone just in case the insurance stops covering the home visits. I might have to go and rent a car with softer suspension for a smooth ride. My husband & I both drive sports cars which are too low and is a bumpy ride.
