Your gonna get it, Natty.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

it's either going to blow up going out or blow up going up.

Hi Commies,

The surgery went well.. Apparently the abscess was huge and they were only able to drain it and couldn't remove the cyst. They are keeping him at the hospital for another couple of days for observation. His blood sugar was really high when I took him to the ER because I made him eat a donut and drink some OJ this morning.. But given his sedentary occupation (software engineer) the doctor wants to make sure that he is not a diabetic.

I am at home right now... grabbing a quick bite and doing a load of laundry before I head back to the hospital. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks again for the prayers.

you giving him the "i told you so" yet?

That is probably because he was full of infection.

He really must have had a bad one, but I will keep praying and glad he is in the hospital where he can get the care he needs.

Some good news! Never underestimate the power of prayer. DH is almost certainly an undiagnosed or borderline Type 2 diabetic unless his system is so out of whack that he was just releasing tons of glucose into the bloodstream because of the infection. The hospital will get his fluids up, keep up with the antibiotics and check his glucose levels regularly. They'll also give him some insulin and see what happens, he might luck out and get back to normal or he might not. If he is an undiagnosed Type 2 diabetic then that might explain the massive abscess since high sugar levels allow bacteria to thrive and slow healing of wounds. We'll keep praying for DH to get better.

I think he'd borderline Type 2 and the infection didn't help but just pushed his glucose levels sky high. (no, I won't be posting the song :P )

Why do I have this bad feeling that the AIG will figure prominently in this equation. :help:
