I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow, snow or not.

ok, so i need some cooking ideas. my husband is unsure of trying beef (for now) but i am trying to think of his first american meal. my sister suggested a pork steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, etc.

what do you all think? i may even buy my first bottle of wine  i know, 30 years old and i have only bought alcohol one time, and that was for a party, and even then it was only those smirnoff cooler things.

I would go with pork chops and mashed potatoes. But I'd do a green bean casserole (had that for the first time on Christmas and it was yummy!)

I guess it's the Italian grandma I've got, but I'd go with a lasagne (you can use ground pork italian sausage instead of beef) , an antipasto salad and some garlic bread.

That always seems to be a hit.

that sounds good now :hehe:

pinto beans and cornbread!

he will get plenty of that on new years day
