I just checked and it's been 106 days for me so far. Oddly enough, I think I'm somehow "programmed" to worry every 53 days, hopefully I'm not posting this again in 159 days, but I could be.

Is it worth trying to contact uscis? I've called in the past and the phone tree is hard to get through. The messages make it clear that if the automated system has no more information, then the agents themselves won't have information either.

Is that true? Or are they just trying to discourage me from bothering them? I guess I'm wondering if its worth contacting them yet. Technically the processing time for my petition isn't overdue for another month, but they're still taking longer than other indicators say they should.

So, I called their number this morning, selected the options for "I believe it's outside of the processing window" and "I haven't heard anything in the last 60 days" and I got through to someone.

They informed me that as of yesterday, they mailed out my NOA2.

That's NOT updated on the website yet, and I'm not doing any cheering until I have the paper IN MY HAND. But, it's looking up!

EDIT: Hah, I had JUST posted this, when I got the text message that my case status has been updated by USCIS. Ok, I'll celebrate now. Yay, NOA2.

Congrats! Exciting news :)

Just so you know, their website isnt' the greatest. It still says our petition is pending, and i've had my visa since November!

The website is updated now, but I have a feeling that it's only updated now because I prodded them.

Actually, when you talk to someone at USCIS hot-line number, you are not talking to an immigration officer, you are talking to a call center employee who has a computer and a script of acceptable answers to different scenarios in front of them. They have no impact at all upon your case - all they can do is relay the information that they have access to from their computer to you - and that is the same information you have access to. So, sorry, your 'prodding' them didn't make a difference - it was your time for approval. Congratulations on the NOA2!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
