Yeah. I've unfriended people lately who I don't have regular contact with. I might continue that trend shortly. Frankly, I don't care about what's happening with some guy I barely talked to in high school, or some co-worker from two jobs ago...

I think there are MANY people out there who pride themselves on how many Facebook "friends" they have. I'm certainly not one of them!

I turn down friend requests a lot. Mostly from people from high school days who I have no desire to talk to anymore.

dont unfriend me pls.

Well, that's just weird, right? People are funny. So far, 95% of the friends on my list are really my friends. Couple of high school people there that I barely know anymore just on a whim but really?

I wonder how many of your VJ FB friends are feeling kind of insecure right now. LOL

Yea on saturday I got a friend request from someone I did not know, and I let him add me, waited two days, asked him who he was, he never responded so I deleted him. If I don't know who they are, I don't add them.

I have deleted people too usually based on status updates.

The last guy I deleted was a guy I used to know in Barrie and he had his status updates as: "Ugh some guy on the bus just blew me a kiss, I hate f*gs" and I deleted that hick right away!

Oh and I deleted my own uncle for cheering on the yankees during the world series, but we've since become friends again.

I deleted my sister once before. And I was serious about it, too. I was pissed off at all her snide comments on my wall.

I later re-added her, but only to see my "limited profile".

Yep I've deleted people like that too.

You know what I hate? The people who will come on to my profile and get into it with my friends. I think thats just ignorant.

I would never go on someone else's wall and fight with their friends/family. I have had to message people, delete them and play referee but I don't think they realize how rude it is.

Oh PS...

MY 20 year old Nephew's girlfriend sent me a friend request yesterday... I have never met this girl, she's 20, I have no desire to have idle chitchats with people I don't know so...

I declined it. Is that rude? Am I going to internet etiquette hell?

I got a FB friend request from a guy I never met, but apparently we had like 10 mutual friends, so I accepted. Got access to his page, some christian fanatic with over 3500 FB friends. Obviously, this guy is collecting them for points or something, so I unfriended him a few weeks later.

People are funny...

Igg, you know what I do with people who are acquaintances? I create a list of them and put restrictions on this group (i.e. limited access to my profile, pics, etc) and when I update my status (I rarely do BTW), I exclude this group.

So why do I keep this people around?--ever bump into them in a party or on the street? Yeah...it's nice to have a FB database on them so you can remember their names and what they do (for work or interest) during these idle chats, LOL.
