Hi all!

I have a couple of questions about the I-134 form. When it asks whether I intend to make specific contributions to the support of my fiance.....how do I answer that? Hes not coming here without a dime to his name. He'll have savings so he won't be completely dependant on me but he'll be living in my house (obviously). And as far as how long.....um for life-at least thats our intention! When it asks how long I've lived in the US I simply put BIRTH. Should I put my birthday instead? Also I do not meet the income requirement so we will need a sponsor. Will the sponsor need to fill out the I-134 or another form? Pretty sure I am splitting hairs on some of this so please forgive me.

Thank you so very very much in advance to anyone with some advice.

This is so intimidating and I want to get it right.

Follow the example I-134 form here on VJ. That will answer many of your questions.

A co-sponsor would complete an I-134 for themself and include all supporting documents.

Daya,

You should put your birth date because it asks for a date. You don't want to cost yourself an RFE.

About your contributions to your fiance question, just write N/A because you are petitioning for a K1 permanent resident. Look at the I-134 example form and it will answer all of your questions.

Good luck!

Hes not coming here without a dime to his name. He'll have savings so he won't be completely dependant on me but he'll be living in my house (obviously). And as far as how long.....um for life-at least thats our intention! we ticked "intend" and wrote this "I will provide room and board for Vanessa indefinitely. I intend to marry her within 90 days of her arrival into the USA". We were approved with no RFE's

When it asks how long I've lived in the US I simply put BIRTH. Should I put my birthday instead? We did

Also I do not meet the income requirement so we will need a sponsor. Will the sponsor need to fill out the I-134 or another form? As the USC you are the primary sponsor and will need to complete the form as if you DID meet the income requirements (i.e. include income details, bank statements etc that you would include if you did meet the requirements). Then because you don't meet the requirements, you would have someone else fill in another I-134 form to meet those requirements

Pretty sure I am splitting hairs on some of this so please forgive me.

Thank you so very very much in advance to anyone with some advice.

This is so intimidating and I want to get it right.

Also, out of interest, the example form isn't perfect.

Q3 has a typo, it should say "fiancee" not "diancee"

In the income spaces all fields must be completed (so they know you didn't "forget" to fill it in) so make sure you put "$0" if you have nothing there.

Good luck!

Thank you so much!! Dunno what we'd do without this site and the helpful people.
