Hi Ladies and Gents this is my first post, someone gave me the link to this forum after I told him about my K1 visa problem, it's nice to know that I am not the only out there. I did not realize there were so many of us in this IMBRA situation.

Here is my situation, I was approved on April 10, 2006 my fiance got package three in late April did everything got package four in May with an interview date for June 9, 2006. I was so thrill started to make arrangement to travel and go with her to the interview in Bangkok, Thailand, two weeks before the interview date she got a call from the American Embassy saying that the application was recalled.

This is was my first encounter my enemy IMBRA, I was crushed I was so close but have since then recover and now like everyone else we are waiting. I have since wrote to the Vermont processing center and got confirmation that they have my application and it's being process, that was in mid June. I have yet to received anything from the mail so I have been calling every couple of weeks or so, I am down but not out.

Sorry but there are a lot of term I am not familiar with such as NOA1 & 2, Touched and RFE, those the ones i have seen the most, an explanation would help me get a lot more out of this forum. Whom ever created this forum is a genius this is a great place to stay strong while waiting for the love of your life.

You will be able to learn more about IMBRA in the IMBRA forum (if you have not started looking there yet).

NOA1 - (I-797 Notice of Action) receipt of your case

NOA2 - (I-797 Notice of Action) is the notice of approval

RFE - Request for Evidence

Touched - Your case has been "touched" at USCIS

Under the Visa FAQ you will be able to see the list of all the terms.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
