My husband came as K-1 and we are now adjusting status for him. We want to sponsor his mom to come visit. What is the best type of visa for this and where can I get info on how to file? She cannot get a tourist visa, those are very hard to come by from Pakistan.

A tourist visa is the only avenue from what you state.

US citizens can file an I-130 petition for their own parents.

Any tips to help make our case stronger? Should we wait awhile?

Your mother in law will have to apply at the embassy and show strong ties to home.

There is nothing that you can do to help her obtain a visa.

It's hard to get a tourist visa from Pakistan unless you have ALOT of money.

Isn't there any way that I could sponsor her? Could she be considered my immediate family since we are married? My husband is not a citizen yet.

In-laws are not considered immiediate family. Your husband can submit an immigrant visa petition once he is a citizen.

For a visit you can write an invitation letter and your MIL can bring that to the interview.
