My interview was Dec 09, 2009 and I passed and was approved, however I have not yet received my Oath letter yet. I am getting worried since its getting to almost 2 months. My oath eligibility was Dec 20, 2009. Granted that I wasnt eligible for oath at the time I passed the interview and hence I patiently waited and still have been waiting.

Also what I noticed is that there arent any San Francisco filers in Oct-Nov-Dec-Jan in the N400 tracking forums where I can compare my process with someone.

When are the Feb oath ceremonies for San Francisco?

Anybody on the same boat as me?

Any comment or advice is highly appreciated.

Or call your senator, but California is a much larger state than Wisconsin with only two senators per state. That could be a handicap.

Also believe that California has a lot more immigrants than we do, too damn cold here.

It takes up to 120 days for them to make the decision or issue you a oath ceremony. 90 days at the max, once it has been 90 days since your interview call the NCSC 1-800-375-5283 and let them know you passed the interview but you've yet to have your oath ceremony and its been 90 days. They'll put in a request to notify your local office, then the local office will update you about the oath. Hope this helps.

Good luck!

My wife's IO misplaced her application that was the reason for our delay, or never turned it in. Run across people like that, she really gave my wife a hard time at the interview. How was your IO? Not only got a letter of apology from the office manager, but a special oath ceremony scheduled in just three days. I wasted my time in trying to contact the USCIS.

Thanks for all the feedback. I guess I have to wait till 90 days before I make the info pass appointment.

The wait is actually 120 days according to your interview form, read it way at the bottom. We were already frustrated with our I-751 being misplaced and the big runaround we got, that is when I contacted my senator, they didn't give my senator the runaround like we got. Instructed my wife to get a commitment if she passed her interview, and couldn't get a straight answer as to why St. Paul did not do same day oath ceremonies like other field offices do. All she got is that it was not their policy. Then she asked when she could expect her oath letter, St. Paul has an ongoing reputation for taking up to a year for their oath ceremonies, printed out several newspaper articles on this. She was told within two weeks, I let four go by, here we go again. So I contacted my senators office again, Rebeca was in charge of immigration, got to know her well over the phone with the conversations about USCIS delays, was nice and sweet, and just requested she make an inquiry for us.

We know doing this stages we are in the twilight zone as I call it, you can't make plans, can't do anything. I never expected to get an e-mail within three hours, with her oath letter attached to it in *.pfd format, nor a letter of apology, that was on a Friday, her oath was scheduled the following Tuesday that was really a shock. St. Paul can do a same day oath ceremony, and no need to wait until they get 3,500 candidates to attempt to fill the Viking stadium.

But our key was to get a commitment, without that commitment, have to wait 120 days, and do you really want to take the USCIS to court?

Wife's good friend living in Illinois was always nine months ahead of us, 50 miles from St. Louis but assigned to the Chicago office. At her interview, she had the same evidence we had, home deed, three years of joint taxes, etc. She got an RFE for a utility bill making a second long train trip with high downtown Chicago hotel rates to deliver it, then nothing. Obama was her senator, nowhere to be found, he was campaigning for president as was his staff. She didn't want to take the USCIS to court, so just waited, like 15-16 months before she got her oath ceremony, wife ended up nine months ahead of her.

When I read posters here stating you need the minimum amount of evidence, can only say, BS, with that knowledge I contacted my electric company and had my wife's name added to the bill, she brought that in, sure than hell she was asked for it. And wife told me, her IO was shocked when she turned it over.

Our first IO at St. Paul was wonderful, that one I could attend, when I first started this, didn't know anything about immigration and my brain got torqued as to which of the several different ways to bring her here. So I found a large well know immigration law firm and paid them for guidance, actually was quite cheap for the work and help they had given us. They were not present at the AOS interview, but their name was all over the place, now if that made a difference, I don't know. On the I-751 and N-400 we were on our own, and perhaps good targets, that again I do not know, but we certainly had our share of problems.

Learned that with our IRS, if working for a large corporation, they keep their distance, as an individual, they love to cream you, feel the USCIS is the same way.

I had my interview on December 8th, 2009 in Philadelphia PA and no oath letter so far. I scheduled 3 infopasses already and no tangible results. They just told me to wait. When I wrote to my senator, my senator's office assigned my case to a simple clerk who supposed to follow my case with the USCIS. She did not even bother getting back to me since then. Now I'm here waiting... not knowing when I'll receive this oath letter.

Thanks, now I know that I am not alone. Hope we both get a letter soon and get this over with.

Hi Kaizen,

you definitely are not alone ;)

I am in the same boat as well. I had my interview on January 13 and am currently waiting for the oath letter to arrive. Guess they were not kidding about the 120 days... I am trying to look at the bright side- by now my max. waiting time is reduced to the 90+ day frame, and I'm counting down.

A spring oath ceremony might not be that bad, after all!

Wishing you guys all the best... may your oath letters be delivered soon :)
