initiate a 'service request' to find the petition.

Can do this via USCIS help line, or via an infopass appointment.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

gather up all your evidence of your relationship, pics, letters snail mail and emails, chats on yahoo or what ever, copies of phone bill showing his cell phone or land line number, copy of you taxes this years, fill out the support document for k1 thats found in example forms at the top of this page and you should also go look at the reviews for the country that your s/o is from and read the reviews also post in the thread that is for the country your s/o is from you will receive a lot better and more in-depth advise there from those that have gone thru this process in the same country

good luck

Gather up evidence, Make sure you have a lot of contact information especially phone records. Lagos is crazy about phone calls. Read about how much they ask your fiance about your life. What time you get up, go to work, where do you live , how long have you lived there, where did you go to school and when. Currently in regional they seem to be giving out May interviews so you still have some time to wait.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I applied for the Fiance k-1 visa for my fiance since july of 2009. it was approved by the USCIS in sept of 2009, but the NVC has not recieved it since then. can someone please tell me what i should do about the issue now? :crying::angry:

You did not apply for a visa. You filed a petition. When an I-129F petition is approved, it will pass through NVC quickly and then on to Lagos. NVC's automated system never has any information on K visa cases. You'll need to speak to a human to obtain the NVC case number and confirm the file has been forwarded to Lagos.

Am I supposed to get anything or do anything when my fiance petition gets to the NVC?

and can me and my fiance go on a honeymoon within the united states after we get married?

No. The Consular IV unit in Lagos will contact your fiancee.

NVC said that they have sent my fiance's package to nigeria. But he went to the embassy to pick the package, only to turned back and told that he needs to email them and when they reply, he would then go back to the embassy to collect his package. Can someone please tell me if they went thru this same problem with the embassy? :crying::angry::angry::help:

thanks.
