I know my two are no where close to potty training. They NEVER communicate if they have pooped or are wet. They never cried when they were infants either. They both can do the pants up/down thing. But...I just feel they are not ready and really may not be for a while. That's ok. I don't know how much I am looking forward to doing it. No more diapers would definitely be nice, however.

We went to a birthday party for a baby friend of ours (he just turned two). It was so much fun and it was good to see Hana and Zak playing with other kids, floating around in the pool, and just having fun. Now...they are sleeping well (even better for Mama). It is nice for things to definitely be getting easier with taking them out and about.

Their vocabulary has really exploded lately. They have learned LOTS of animals and animal noises. They are always pointing out doggies, kitties, horsies, sheep, and babies on TV, in books, or out and about. They say done when they are done eating. And Hana is always saying, "I'm funny." or "You're funny." or "It's funny." Every liquid is juice and whenever you go to the refrigerator they say cheese. Zak has associated the word hot with food. When he is hungry he will run around and say "hot, hot, hot". They also know once they get their "shos" on that we go "bye byes". So they run to the door the moment shoes are on their feet.

Nessa, Zaids tantrums started at 15 months and didnt stop til about 22 months. Thats when they were really at their worst. Now if he wants to throw a tantrum we find a way to compromise or....bribe...lol. He speaks half sentences now and understands what were telling him so its nice. Speaking and Understanding makes life SO much easier.

Zaid is definitly not ready for potty training and he is 26 months now. He doesnt communicate pee or poops and isnt good at taking off his bottoms at all. If he isnt showing signs of interest by 30 months I will try to "make" him but until then I am not rushing it. Bedwetting in later ages is a bad problem in my family (in the males) and DH had problems too. (til he was like 8) so Im really worried.

We got back from vacation today. What a good time we had! Zaid LOVED swimming and the amusement park, feeding ducks at the lake, hes been talking about it ever since we got home. My best friend and her family came. Her daughters are 7,6,and 1 and Zaid really loved playing with the older ones. He referred to them as the "girls" which really sounded like "guwls" it was cute, wherever they went he followed. Im glad to be home needless to say, it was almost 100 degrees everyday, the well water made me gag and the bed was awful, there really is no place like home lol.

I see the OB on tuesday for my monthly checkup. Ill be 10w2d by then. Im excited, I cannot believe how fast its going. 1/4 of the way there!!

It's all about Elmo!!!

or Melmo thta is how Sofia calls him, she loves her "Melmo" dol and daddy bought tons of Elmos toys and stuff, Oh God he really spoils her.

She impresses us everyday, she knows her body parts in english and spanish (head, nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, hands, feet, shoulders) and we are teaching the ABC in her floor mat, she catches everything so fast. She say "ba" for ball, eeeeeeo for Cheerios, "ca" cats, "kakeees" are Yankees,"papa" grandpa, mami, daddy, byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, wawa for water etc it's so funny how we understand what she is trying to say oh and wen something is hot she blows her hand.

Tantrums, tantrums, they are driving me crazy, my Doc told me to just turn around and completely ignore them and it works perfect, another thing she is doing that we don't like so much is that she is pinching herself  but then we have to stop her.

Mommies have you heard from Caro? she haven't posted for a while, I hope everything is all right.

The potty is ok, sometimes she sits there forever and gets bored and when I put the diaper she pees, oh well, what can I do? I'm just giving it a shot

One way I introduced Eman to using the potty is by asking him if his tummy was telling him he needed to go to the bathroom. And when I would have to go I would anounce it to him and say: my tummy is telling me I need to go potty! This really worked with getting him started with potty training. He would still have accidents here and there but it got that idea in his head to pay attention to how his body felt when he had to go. Getting him to pee in the toilet was the easy part, pooping was a different story. It took 6 months to accomplish that goal.

Kavi can now tell me if he has to poop but not pee. And he seems like like standing up and leaning(you know, that pooping lean lol) to poop. So he is going to have to learn to sit and poop. He recently pooped standing up right by his potty and it landed on the seat. So I pushed it in with a tissue and said, see you should put it in there! The situation made me laugh. I am not going to rush him, will just have to take it slow. haha.

After a series of tests and examinations, my cousin found out that the reason she lost the baby was because she has blood clots. The doctors said that they are surprised that she was able to carry for as long as she did. She is going to have to get an MRI done to see how many she has and can never be on birth control. If she were to get pregnant again she would have to give herself a shot everyday. At least she now knows what happened and that there is hope.

Nizzy, Im glad she found some answers. My best friend has a blood disorder and Chrons Disease and just delivered a healthy 7lb boy 2 weeks ago. She is on daily injections and several medications a day for the rest of her life but she did it! Im glad your cousin was able to get to the bottom of the problem. If she does get pregnant again she will probably be under the watch of very high risk doctors(much like my friend) and im sure everything will be great!

Thanks Kelly! I am so glad to hear about your friend. It gives us even more hope when we hear stories like that. And yes, the doctors will be closely monitoring her. She is planning to try again around fall or winter. I love her to pieces and can't wait until she is a mommy.

We are also not rushing the potty training, just following Declan's lead. He had one time where he knew he needed to go and actually pooped and peed in the potty, but not as much luck since. Not stressing about it at all.

The best thing about where we live is that there are several little kid friendly amusement parks within a short drive. Declan has gone to Six Gun City several times and is obsessed. He calls it "Hitty" and the other day, he put his farm animals in his little tractor toy and told me they were going to "hitty" where they were going to have a pony ride and ride the roller coaster.

Tomorrow we are going to Santa's Village and he is beside himself with excitement (we have been there before and he has favorite rides). I am having so much fun with him!!!

That sounds so fun! Even though we have Tampa and Orlando not extremely far, there aren't many little kid places it seems - well I know Disney is but that is not always doable because of the price!

We were visiting my family for a week and a half before/during 4th of July. Kavi had a blast. We did a lot of outdoor activities because the weather was tolerable. We went to some state parks in small mountains, petting zoos, dairy farm, play places, etc. The part that was fun was the 10 hour ride home. Kavi did well on it but it's just a long drive!

The hard part to getting back to life here in my opinion, is that Kavi's attention goes all back on me during the week. He had a bunch of people to interact with for over a week, and now it's just me and him all day again. Not as fun for him! And not easy for me at first! hehe

Vi, she probably has a little virus. Give her lots of liquids and tylenol or motrin if she has a fever. For her runny nose prop her crib up a little bit so that she sleeps with her head elevated. You can also give her a bath in the Johnson's vaporbath gel before she goes to bed and put the Vicks Vaporub on her chest. I hope she feels better soon.
