It appears my pregnancy symptoms have really peaked this week. Im vomiting every morning, sore breasts, hightened sense of smell (which makes me wanna vomit more) i cant stay awake past 9pm and still dont have much of an appetite. I cant wait to feel good again. Im 9 weeks on Monday, i cant wait! I was pretty symptom free with Zaid so this is all foreign to me. I guess im just very grateful everything looks good so far.

So ive been having this "vibrating" feeling around my uterus (or so it seems) every couple days and only last 20 seconds or so when it happens, it really was driving me nuts. i googled it and it seems it has something to do with increased blood flow? Makes sense but its just soooo odd when it happens. Others say its baby movement, which I wouldnt be feeling at this point right?

Probably not fetal movements until around 18 weeks but some people say they felt it sooner. Some second time mommies get braxton hicks a lot sooner too, so who knows.. Hope the morning sickness goes away soon!

I feel like ####### today too, I can't keep my eyes open and I feel nauseous (no puking yet) headachey (lack of caffeine) and I just want to stay in bed all day but I can't.

Looking into buying a convertible crib....

What's the deal with the toddler rails? Is it necessary to have one? I've seen quite a few cribs (supposedly convertible to toddler bed) without the toddler rail.

I can totally confirm that. I felt Allie kick at 17 weeks and movement was easy to feel at 19 weeks (my placenta was anterior).Braxton hicks with pregnancy #2....I felt the first contraction at 10!!!! weeks. It didn't hurt but it was definetely there and I had a lot of them in both pregnancies.

@Tweety: Allie is now two and she's still in her crib (not converted). You might want to have the toddler rails as children don't sleep in a bed like adults do. They toss and turn and fall out easily. Her crib is convertible but we're not going to do that, we'll just buy her a new bed.

@ Tweety: We have a convertible, but Jona is still in the crib. He'll move to a normal sized bed when he doesn't wanna be in there anymore and we will by a toddler rail. Falling out of bed is no fun. We'll use the crib again for the next baby to sidecar it to my side of the bed...

@ Kelly: I felt Jona kick at 15 weeks. Second pregnancies you supposedly feel the baby earlier, but by now our little ones are only one inch big, so it's unlikely it's the babies. Rather the growing uteri or even gas! I know from mamas who felt their babies really early, but none earlier than 14 weeks. I hope you feel better soon, your nausea is really bad! Have you tried a preggo tea? It really helps me to be just nauseous without the constant feeling of throwing up and gagging.

has anyone ever tried the preggo pops from babies r us? One of my friends sent me those I haven't tried them, I still try to not think about puking but I get so nauseous every time I move. I don't like lollipops but I think I will try them if I am still nauseous tomorrow. I met a pregnant mom today who said she didn't get sick at all with her first child and this time she was sick throughout the pregancy (she is 8 months) :o There seems to be a pattern!!! Evi, where ou sick with Allie??

We have a convertible crib but we don't use it, we bought Ben a toddler bed when our pediatrician recommended it to try to get him to sleep (it didn't work). So I guess he will keep his toddler bed for a while (you can use a crib matress for toddler beds and the bed was very cheap) and use the convertible crib for the next baby. I really want to convert it to a twin bed once baby #2 is old enough it's such a pretty crib. But we don't even have the conversion set or any rails yet.

It's so nice to be able to re-use some of the stuff we bought for Ben. Having a second baby is finally paying off, lol.

No, in both pregnancies I only had minor nausea, no throwing up (except for a stomach bug but that doesn't count).

ok thank you that makes me feel better! After hearing all these stories I feel doomed! And I'm in the middle of job search and taking my state boards this week, I need to snap out of that exhausted-nauseous-fat preggers mode and be just Steffi for just a few more weeks....

Stef, my best friend had AWFUL sickness with both her pregnancies. She was on that chemo pill and that didnt even help. Some of the things she told me that would work were the lollipops (but very temporarily) and sea bands. Those little bracelet things that put pressure on some pressure point in your wrist. i believe they are for motion sickness, but she said they really helped and all the drug stores carried them and for a reasonable price.

Im just trying to stick it out with the nausea. I didnt vomit today, (yet) which is good lol. I got up and ate some ice cold watermelon and it seems to have sat wonderfully in my rocky tummy.

Anna and Stef, what are your due dates? I think its great we have another wave of babies coming through!! Mine is Feb 6th!

@ Kelly: February 6th, though I doubt I will make it that far. But maybe I will, I'd love to be overdue with a baby heavier than 6 pounds!

@ Steffi: I saw those preggo pops at Motherhood Maternity, but the thought of candy makes my stomach turn around. Even under normal circumstances I wouldn't touch lollipops or candy and such - way too sweet n gross. The wristbands I'd rather try.... SIL had moderate success with them and no success with Zofran. But she was sick for 8 months last time, however, her first pregnancy she was very sick too.

Back home in da village they claim if you feel rotten sick you are carrying a girl, according to folklore the girls just make you sick to take away your beauty  ... Oh well. Who knows! Maybe all my hormones are just too much right now, I'm nursing, I'm pregnant and it is friggin hot which never sits well with my stomach. Luckily today we finally have crappy weather. Maybe I can finish my anniversary burrito today (just couldn't eat it yesterday).... We just got chipotle and watched a movie - going out to dinner was very much out of question!

I would like to see if that folklore is true with all you preggos because they say the same thing in my country. I felt awesome when pregnant with Eman and my cousin was throwing up nonstop and she was having a girl. Even though it's not medically true, I would be interested to see!

My mom had a boy and a girl and threw up three months straight

I had a boy and a girl and didn't throw up once from morning sickness - cause I hardly had any.

So, I'm saying...NOT TRUE. Same - for me - goes for the tale that you carry a boy differently than a girl. I looked exactly the same with both kids. And also the saying that boys bring the beauty and girls take it...NOT TRUE. With Adam I had pimples all over and I gained 50lbs, looking all swollen while with Allie my skin looked great, I had plenty of energy and no water retained whatsoever (gained 30lbs with her).

Arrrgh more puking. Burning throat is so much fun...

I am so surprised how different pregnancies can be, from easy to horrible! I did have bad skin though with Jona - I had never had acne before! Now my skin is fine. But frankly Id take pimples and weight gain over puking, it makes me miserable.
