Hey thanks everyone...really appreciate the good thoughts and prayers. I'm going to the nutritionist today, but my ex was a nutritionist, and I helped him thru college back in the day  so I'm kinda a little above-average in nutrition knowledge....But I will keep an open mind, and hopefully I learn something.

My blood sugar has been consistently good and within range....I'm testing at least twice a day...Have to admit, over the weekend, I went a little overboard with the testing, heh. But the important thing is, at no point during the testing did I ever have a high reading. When I wake up, it's below 100, usually in the 80s-early 90s...and an hour after eating, it has to be below 140...well, they are in the 120s usually. Dunno if the gluc test was a fluke, but I go back to the docs on the 16th and 17th, so we'll see.

autum: he is a lot better. He has a really bad viral infection, mostly in his face and mouth. The worst thing is the fever and the pain, we couldn't get the fever down, he is now a steady 100.3 which is the lowest in 1 week. They were worried that it could get to his brain. But he is doing better!! Just looks like he lost some weight. I was freaking out the last 2 days because he was just laying there staring at the ceiling no matter what we did he was so lethargic and wouldn't move or look up or play/read books. And seeing him in so much pain just killed me. Today is the first day that he is drinking somethnig in a week.

omG, it's sooooo good to hear that he's getting better. It sounds like you have been living a nightmare this past week! Keeping you in my prayers (L)

thank you! Good luck to you with the gest. diabetes. I hope you will be able to get it straightened out with just diet. Doesn't sound like your blood glucose is out of control at all.

Stef ~ I'm happy that Ben is getting better. That facebook post had me worried too! Hang in there mommy!

I'm back at work full time again and Anna has been staying home during the day with Luis. (he works nights, I work days) He's doing awesome, this is the 2nd week and no problems whatsoever.

Thanks Christ its good to be back in the baby Corner again. I was only gone for what seemed like a couple of months getting busy with school and healing after Gran's passing (not quite over that yet, lot of closure still needed) I don't think we're even visiting home again this year. Relations are a little strained between me and my family. Oh well not the first time and I guess not the last. My sister is super excited for the new baby which means she will probably come and visit.

Bit out of the loop so I will have to read backwards this week to see what all is happening with you guys and the kids.

Having a hard time already with this pregnancy, I've had blood-work every week and 3 ultrasounds already. Oh how I wish to have a straightforward pregnancy!

MsBollinger, Good Luck for a happy healthy uneventful pregnancy. What is your estimated due date? I cant wait to see the doc next week :)

I'm due January 21st 2011 so just over 7.5 weeks. We really didn't expect to get pregnant so soon, it took us the best part of 5 years to get pregnant with Henry!

Quick question for all you mamas who have traveled overseas with children. I, a USC, am leaving next week with my daughter, a USC, to visit my husband's family in Russia. My husband will not be traveling with us. Do I need to have a document that states my husband allows me to take our daughter overseas without him? Did any of you use this? I've been reading online and some people state it is a must while others say they have never been asked. Not sure who to believe. Thanks for your help!

@susita: he works nights you work days, when do you guys sleep if you're watching the baby when you're not at work?

Well, it's interesting  I work 7-3:30 and he works 11pm - 7:30 am. My mom watches the baby for an hour in the morning until he gets home. He goes to bed when I get home from work and I go to bed at about 10:30, when he leaves for work. It's not as rough as I thought it was going to be, we both sleep about 6 hrs. I don't see him much during the week but we talk all the time during the day.

We both would rather do it this way than have a babysitter or daycare. He loves spending the time with Anna & the boys :)

Kopa, I always took the signed document with me, just in case they go crazy and they ask for one,I wanted to be prepared and not to be sent back to the states just for a piece of paper. I went by myself 3 times, and one of those times they asked for it.

To all the mommies and pregnant ladies : how often did you go see your doc in the first months to your pregnancy up to month 4-5 ??

I went to see my doc the other day, and in the office she said "Ill see you next month". All she did was an ultrasound and a pap, and said that everything looked great with the baby on the ultrasound. So I leave, make an appointment for July and then the nurse calls me an hour later saying that the doc wants to see me every 2 weeks from now on instead of every month ( i am 13 weeks pregnant) Of course this freaked me out now and I was wondering what can it be wrong. :(:(

Have you had this happen to you?? :help: Im starting to get all paranoid here :(

I can't tell you what is normal because none of my pregnancies have ever been normal. I have had blood draws every week and ultrasounds every week so far and I am due back in the office again next week. Hopefully its just your DR being cautious more than anything. KUP!

I've been going once a month. That seems odd that they didn't tell you why. I'd call and ask.

When they called back to rescheldule i missed the phonecall so i called back and explained everything and the nurse went and talked to the doctor and she said there is nothing wrong, nothing to worry about, she probably looked at the file wrong  Thats all she said. Of course ill ask her what is going on when ill go back.

With my son (4 yrs old) i went once a month too, that early in the pregnancy.
