@chnst: My heart goes out to Ben and your family, I hope that this time, you hear good news that will last. Some doctors are so incapable! I can't imagine the tension with your own c-section dilemma and poor Ben's second surgery! But I am sure the tension is the worst part, the procedures and results will be positive (F).

@ZaidsMommy: Hopefully you won't go to 41 weeks, fingers crossed.

@Anna C.: Glad to hear Eloise is doing well!

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

I know I shouldnt complain, im just sick of the run around. No sign of her today, maybe tomorrow, who knows? I went into labor in the middle of the night with Zaid and Im hoping that doesnt happen this time because I will need to take Zaid to my brother and SIL house so they can watch him. Doing it at 2am could be a nightmare lol.

Stef, Im really sorry to hear about Ben. That makes me sad that the surgeon was such an a$$. I cant even imagine your frustration. Give that baby lots of lovin and know he will probably have NO memory of any of it which is a good thing, dont want him terrified of doctors when hes older.

Glad to hear Eloise is doing well. I have decided I am not going to even attempt breastfeeding. I know its not for me, Im a very selfish person and I dont want to set myself up for failure and disappointment like I did with Zaid. Just hopin the formula doesnt cause tummy issues with her like it did wiht Zaid.

Steph@ Juts finished reading your post. I'm really sorry for what you are going through, specially now that you are pregnant. I'm so upset at that stupid doctor, seriously, can you sue him??? something yould be done :angry: . Ben still little , I don't think he will remember this episode when he grows up. And a c-section sounds much better than surgery.

Mommies I didn't post anything while I was away. The good news is that I stop breastfeeding completely while I was in Peru. We told Sofia that Santa took the boobies with him (hahaha) so everytime she asked for the boobies we told her that and she just smiled. The bad news is that my boobies shrank!!!!!!!!! I guess it has to do with my weight.loss :crying: .

More good news>>> she i :thumbs: is finally sleeping through the night!

Kelly@ Good luck mommy! thta baby cannot stay in your belly forever, think that you will finally meet you precious Salma :star: ,so exciting!

aww Kel you're still preggers?? I am hoping she will decide to be born soon!

thanks all, yeah I agree hip surgery or even just a "mild" seperation don't sound good to me. Idk, I guess I'll just go with the flow and see what happens because there's this new law in NY that you can't schedule a c/s before at least 39 weeks if baby is doing ok. So I have 3 more weeks and a lot can happen til then. ugh I can't even imagine getting my legs into the "pushing postition" without doing damage, but the doc said it'll be alright, I could push on my side or on a birthing chair, sounds so easy! :rofl: I just hope I can trust her with that!

Right now the baby couldn't be more transverse, I feel his head all the way on the right and his legs kicking constantly in my left ribs. Little stinker. Other than that I can't complain, this pregnancy was fairly easy compared to what other mommies have to go through.

As for Ben, I was all devastated yesterday and trying to be strong and optimistic now. His next appointment isn't until March, I just hope he will not be traumatized to go see his docs, he used to be so trusting and happy to see his pediatrician.

Vi: nah I don't think I could ever sue someone, I don't even know if I had any chances, but I will definitely let this doctor know how unhappy we are with the results and that we will most likely not see him again. Glad to hear little Soph is sleeping and weaned, she is getting so big! I'm a little jealous that you get to go home to Peru so often and enjoy the sun & the beach!

Here's to hoping for more babies soon!

I know with c-sections that it was the time I was in the hospital that the governing medical bodies came out and said no inductions/ c-sections before 39 weeks for singletons or 37 weeks for twins, unless medical indications warranted it. My peri and I had a conversation about it because my OB said she would deliver at 36 weeks and had booked the OR, and he came into my hospital room and related the news to me. I know I cried afterwards. I was so over bedrest! It was good to wait, though. Hana

and Zak were not ready to leave, even then. I never had many contractions at all.

@Steffi: Oh no, I'm so sorry. It breaks my heart to hear what all of you have to go through. I hope the surgery will be quick and easy for Ben and that he'll make a quick recovery to be back in "Ben-mode" :whistle: . Good luck. I like how you're looking at the bright side of it (as in "surgery isn't until March" etc) but I can only imagine what goes through your mind as his mommy.

@Kelly: Hang in there. Those last days are terrible. I had the same thing with Allie. We were back and forth membrane stripping, no labor, castor oil, LABOR...no labor over night, membrane stripping, nada, membrane stripping, nada..first induction, NOPE..no baby, second induction finally worked LOL. I was frustrated too. I hope baby Salma makes her big entrance soon. She's just waiting for the perfect moment. Good luck to you too.

@Anna: Glad to hear that baby Eloise is healthy and happy and eating good. I can't imagine having such a little thing in my house anymore. But...been there, done that :star: .

As for us...ahhh this whole week has been rather blah...I hope next week is getting better. First we had stupid weather, ice etc..everybody went insane so I cancelled my trip to a workshop that I wanted to go to...the day before daycare quit on us because it was so cold they couldn't keep the building warm (and there are obviously still moms who send their daughters to school in skirts with knee high boots and little t-shirts :bonk: , while it's 25 degrees outside)...anyway...then my finances at work didn't match up and I couldn't figure out what was going on, I messed up my Saturday morning cinnamon rolls (lol..that REALLY bothers me :rofl: ), sprained my toe by tripping over Allie's shoe, and when we got back from a Superbowl Party Allie threw up on me...argh...wonderful. This is stomach bug ummm three or so THIS YEAR. This can only get better right???

That's it. I'm going to watch some online TV, I have given both kids instructions to vomit into bowls when they feel like it (Allie's sleeping here with me, Adam seems fine but who knows) and my husband of course had to take off at 630pm to meet a friend. Thanks husband.

Evi out :).

Chnst, so sorry about Ben - hoping for a quick recovery (F)

@Vi: yay for Sofia!

And...

Go Kelly!

Moms, question: after middle seat ( my car doesn't have one), what is the safest place for the car seat: behind the driver or behind the passenger?

Saludos,

Caro

@ Steffi

I am sorry Ben (and you) are having to go through this once more. Hopefully you can find a competent and compassionate surgeon who can understand the situation. Keeping you in my thoughts!

@Kelly Good luck!

AFU, we are dealing with a vocabulary explosion. We were all in the car Saturday and Hana says to me, "Mommy, turn the music on!". She is getting talented at talking in sentences, just sometimes it is so fast you can't understand her!

thanks all for the well wishes. I went to the OB this morning and my cervix hadnt changed so they admitted me and inserted cervadil almost 7 hours ago. It has kicked up some contractions but nothing painful or regular. They will take it out at midnight and if my cervix is favorable will start me on pit. Im excited, anxious, and quite honestly, sad. This is the first night away from Zaid in almost 2 years and im sad that the next time he sees me he will no longer be my only baby. Sofyan has been here keeping me company but I just told him to leave for an hour or two bc i could tell the ticking clock was getting to him. Hopefully Salma will be here sometime tomorrow morning, if not sooner :)

LMAO! :rofl: hahaha, sorry its not funny for you because you have been plagued by that bug forever, but that just sounds sooo funny! I can picture them, haha. Did you guys get any snow yet??

thanks about all the good wishes for Ben. Idk, it's such a rollercoaster ride. I cried all the way to work last night and couldn't stop crying and then I think it could be a lot worse, he is otherwise so healthy and happy, we just have to get through this last surgery. I guess the preggers hormones are taking over my sanity... I slept about 3 hours in the last 3 days. I am planning on doing my thursday night shift and then I'm off for 6 days, so hopefully I'll get some rest and then go into labor by the end of next week. Work is killing me.

Kelly: I hope you're bonding with Salma right now and that you had an easy delivery!! Thinking about you and can't wait to hear from you and see pictures!
