Shes so cute Anna.

Sadly I have nothing to report. A few minor contractions this morning but nothing else. I havent even lost my mucus plug. Zaid was 41.5 weeks so Im really not surprised. I just reaallly hope my OB has some good news for me tomorrow (cervical wise) I am really ready to have her.

The blizzard that hit us last night was insane. We have 4 feet walls of snow all thru our front yard. Sofyan spent 4 hours shoveling out paths for our cars just in case we had to go to the hospital. Almost all of Chicago shut down. 3rd worst snow storm in history. The snow finally stopped but tonight we have -40 degree temps with the wind chills. barf!

Anna - Eloise is beautiful! Congrats again :)

Stina - Love the video. My mom really wants to get Declan a motorized police car for his birthday in May. I thought he was too young also, but after seeing Kavi, I think I have changed my mind.

Kel - Crossing fingers baby Salma comes soon :)

Stef - So, are you able to try for a vaginal birth? I remember the pelivs issue from Ben, but couldn't remember if that would prevent a vaginal birth.

Sooooo .... I officially took my last birth control pill .... Although, you have to have SEX to get pregnant, so who knows ... LOL. I'm thinking I might see my husband again during spring break :) I HATE NURSING SCHOOL RIGHT NOW!!!! I just keep reminding myself that the payoff will be good in the end. Because of the storm here, classes were cancelled, so tomorrow, hubby has a Unit test, pharmacology test and 3 quizzes.

Anna@ Congrats on your beautiful baby girl, she is so pretty!!!! congrats, congrats :star:

We are back from our trip and don't understand why i didn't change mt ticket, the weather in NY is miserable, snow storm after snow storm, it's crazy cold and we cannot go anywhere. My hubby sees that I'm not in a good mood and just told me thta next year I'm going for longer!!!:dance: .

Sofia and mommy had a blast in Peru, she is the Queen of the house there and gets all the attention, I wished hubby came with us but he had to work. Since coming back Sofia is not behaving, I'm blaiming it to the change of enviroment, can that really affect her?. She is not listening at all, pinching, kicking and just wants to do what she wants to do. She didn't behave like this in Peru  . Today she got 5 time outs from daddy, poor girl, it was really really bad.

Kelly@ we saw your city in the news, it looks really bad, worst than here  and I checked your pics on fb. This is definitely the worst winter in a very long time.

Lord! Was that a post from you or? Now I'm scared about trying it!!! Why was month 1 a nightmare for both of you?

Kelly - we're all here, anxiously awaiting word! :)

Yeah, it was from me, I spoilered it because it's tmi, so I dunno, I thought it would be more tasteful that way, lol.

it was a nightmare 'for both' things you asked - cramping and flow. It was just insanely heavy on both aspects. Cycle is also longer. Month 3 is crazy with cramping too. I guess it just takes some getting used to...but I have never ever had any issues with my cycle, never really had cramps bad enough to even warrant a midol. Now, there are days when I want to cry.

I do enjoy the peace of mind with the BC but at the end of the day, I'm going to give it a second thought after we either have the other baby, or give up trying. I might look into the hormone one, because from what I hear, there's pretty much little or no flo.

Lisa,

When I had paraguard, it was for 10 years, did they change? It was just 2008 that I had it. I did have heavier bleeding and the cramps, but it was alot better after a while.

Now I have Mirena and I havnt seen my aunt flow yet! love it love it love it!! (dont kow if it's becasue of breastfeeding or the IUD lol.)

They told me 5 iirc. #######, now I'm not certain.

Either way, I'm removing it in Sept to TTC. Dunno if I'd do this one again, though.

YAY ANNA! That was such an awesome story to read! Congrats on your new bundle!! She is GORGEOUS!

Joyce - sounds like Mad-Ag has adjusted well to daycare? That's pretty cool!

Christina - happy belated to Kavi! Tracy - happy 7 mos bday to Em!

Kelly - try to keep warm - that sounds insane.

Stef - I hope he turns by himself.

Man! That doesn't sound like something I really want to do then. I'm going to have to have a long talk w/ my doctor to figure something out. I still may consider Mirena, too; while it does have hormones, it sounds like it's a lower dose and more localized. I don't mind slightly heavier periods, but cramps that bend me in two? No thanks.

Oh and what I researched on the ParaGard also said 5 years. Maybe they changed it.

And thanks - I can't believe how the time has flown!! :)

Just to be fair, it's not that I'm bent over in pain 24/7 during my cycle, but the first two days are quite hellish.

LOL well yeah, I was exaggerating a bit. But I'm not sure if I'm even willing to have 2 days of being miserable. I feel tired and stressed out enough as it is. That would just send me over the edge.

hehehe, I wasn't taking your post literally...just didn't want to give off a wrong impression. The cramps are pretty bad though. Like 1-10 10 being the worst cramps you can imagine, I'd say they were an 8-9 for the first few days. :(

I would have readdressed the Mirena choice if I knew how bad they were. But maybe it's just early days yet? I dunno.

Meanwhile, I just realized I have a fb msg to respond to :P

Can't contribute to the IUD debate ;) My mom once had one I think, but that was in the 80ies...

I'm really engorged now which hurts, but I think I'm handling it well. She nurses way slower than Jona, Jona was like 5 minutes and 5 ounces and done. She takes 15-30 minutes, depending on her energy level (I wake her every three hours at this point, cause of the engorgement and the ped also recommended it as long as she hasn't surpassed birth weight, then we can let her take over). She wants to sleep 5-6 hour stretches at night... But changing diapers wakes her up, and man is she quiet about her diapers, when Jona pooped it was loud, with her you don't know unless you check! Babies are so different...

Just have to put this out there. I am SO done being pregnant. Every doctors appt the past 3 weeks has been them telling me "oh well induce, oh shes breech, oh shes vertex, oh csection, no csection we will induce" Now here I am, 39w4d pregnant, hardly 2cm, no contractions, and the doctor says hes gonna let me go to 41 weeks. I wanna cry. I havent slept in days, still working, Sofyan already took 2 weeks off work thinking we were having a csection and now he cant go back to work so hes sitting around, unpaid, and if I dont have the baby soon I wont have him here when I need him. I never expected a 2nd pregnancy to carry to 40 weeks, guess I was so wrong. The baby is looking at being 9lbs at 40 weeks if not more. I really am about to lose it :(
