Ladies, I'm excited for all of you getting ready to deliver...take it easy on yourselves. Kelly - you're in my prayers big time!

About the cloth diapers - I always thought they were cute but we never did buy them. We got sooooo many diapers and wipes with Enzo that we were pretty good until he was like 4-5 months. I always stocked up on great deals with coupons and offers at either Walmart or even the smaller packs at CVS with some extrabucks offered. Also, I hardly remember throwing a diaper away with poop on it - we always throw the poop into the toilet and flush it. E has had diarrhea only once. So, we've been lucky.

For those of you that do need to use formula, I highly recommend the Target formulas. They are a pretty decent price - actually better than Walmart. We needed their soy formula for Enzo and it was only $12 a can. We would wait until they had a 10% off discount, plus any other coupons and go stock up. I think we would buy like 10 cans at a time. That would last us for months.

@ Anna, I'm sorry about what your mother said to you. Just mentally tell her to "Go f yourself" and let it fly. Forget about it. Mother or not, some women are just catty b!tches and will always be that way.

@ Steffi - I'm keeping good thoughts for Ben. Big prayers.

Lots of love to you all, Stacie

@Steffi: Keeping my fingers crossed that everything is ok with Ben.

@Kelly: I don't think those babies had sleeping issues. I think the breastmilk just digests quicker so 4-5 hours uninterrupted sleep counts as sleeping through the night, anything longer (for a newborn) and it would get dangerous for the baby. Waking up later on I guess has to do with the attachment and bonding process. Allie didn't wake up at 18 months to nurse because she was hungry but because she wanted to be comforted. For us, the not sleeping through the night was mutual. If I would have wanted her to sleep longer, I had weaned her before it was her time.

Anna thank you for all the info and pictures, these ebay prices aren't even bad actually for 10 diapers and they are so cute!

autum- wow you guys are super busy, sounds like so much fun! I love Boston, I've actually been to that childrens museum too!

thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I hope we can find out next week. It's so depressing.

Kelly: OMG I can't imagine $90 a week for formula. I am sticking to breastmilk, hopefully this one will be a better sleeper regardless and that I can keep up the supply with pumping when I am at work.

@ Kelly: it's not as bad as it sounds. And then it depends on the baby, my nephew is breastfed and slept 7 hour stretches in the first few months already. Jona was a every 3 hour, then 4 hours later on nurser, and it is really easy to nurse at night. All you do is latch baby on, they nurse, fall asleep, back to bed. I seriously find it harder to leave bed to go to the bathroom, it's more disruptive. I had Jona in the crib right next to me so I didn't even have to leave my warm and comfy bed! At 13 months we night-weaned over a period of two weeks and boom, he slept through the night (nursed throughout the day and in the morning and evening). It really isn't that bad at all. Being pregnant with 4 trips to the bathroom a night and all the pain is way, way worse.

Good luck for tomorrow!

@ Steffi: Yeah the eBay diapers really aren't expensive. I didn't buy them right away cause the CD-community scoffs at them being from China and supposedly nobody knows if they are safe, but after doing some research I am comfortable using them. It's fabric, whatever formaldehyde they put on there washes out - and all clothes made in China or third world countries have those chemical residues on them, even Gymboree stuff, that's why we wash it first before we use it... Some people are really militant and say to only buy locally made stuff, but hm yeah that's a tad pricey! Even Fuzzibunz are made in China and Bumgenius are made in Egypt, you can't tell me they pay those people large salaries and provide health care or something like that... Do the china diapers are just fine :) We did give in and buy some Bumgenius on sale, they run way larger and we use them as night-time diapers. But I got them for $9 each instead of $18 each....

You never know with the sleepers.... SIL had a bad one and now a good one... So I'd think it's unlikely to have another Ben on your hands... ;) Do you have settled on a name yet? And is he transverse still?

Thanks for your words about my mom's comments.... I don't feel offended by her cause I don't think I'm fat (or that any pregnant woman is fat for that matter!!!), but I hated growing up / dealing with such comments now. My oldest sister, even if not officially diagnosed, is anorexic. I'm a size 2 and look fat next to her. No kidding, she like stopped eating as a teenager when my mom bugged her about her thighs and hips. You can see every single rip bone, her cheek bones, I mean she's really only skin and bones. And so not over it - yes, she gained weight for pregnancy, but barely enough, and now is back to skeleton style. I don't want my kids to ever feel or act that way, especially these days when eating disorders are so common among girls and boys.

I had a really rough night cause I overdid it yesterday - cleaning so many places, three loads of laundry, finishing sewing, putting all the sewing stuff away in the basement and just carrying too many things. I know I shouldn't do that stuff, but I have an uncontrollable urge to get everything ready and nice looking. My back, hips, buttocks and thighs hurt really bad all night, I could barely move! And I also felt at the same time that she dropped lower. Her head is super low now and the Braxton Hicks are back (I didn't have them at all for a while). I think my body is gearing up for birth soon.

@Autumn: Yes, I am on facebook. Look for me: Nazira Habibi.

Steff: I will keep you in my thoughts. I hate that they are making you wait.

About the formula: Eman has tummy issues and after trying all different formulas I found one that worked. It was called Bright Beginnings and when I went on their website I got great deals. I would buy one case (6 huge cans) and get one for free. One case cost me about $120. I don't know if they do that deal anymore but boy was it a lifesaver for us! Working in the human services industry is rewarding but boy does the pay suck!

Yep, I also feel the pain of Nutramigen! *cry* Nick goes through about 13 cans a month (x $23 a can) so it really adds up! But he can't tolerate anything else, and I breastfed for a while but he wasn't gaining weight...then as we supplemented, my milk slowed down. I did everything I could - fenugreek tabs, mother's milk tea, but nothing helped. Oh well, what can you do?

So I wanted to say hello to all the mommies and I hope everyone's doing well.

I also wanted to share some feelings.

My little boy is now 4 mos old, and boy he's growing fast! It's now the second time I've gone through all his clothes to take away what doesn't fit anymore. I get a little emo about it...is that weird? Like, here I am boxing up his stuff, and I'm recalling the first time he wore it, marveling at how small he was, etc.

Now, hubby and I have decided that it's time for him to move out of the cradle in our room, and go to his nursery. As we were discussing it, I started to cry.

I am so happy he's thriving and growing, so pls don't get me wrong. I also know how vital it is to a marriage to have alone time and not turn your bedroom into baby central. And I also know that my goal is to raise a well adjusted, independent child, so I don't want him tied to 'my apron strings' so to speak. But I still couldn't help shedding a tear about it. And we have a split bedroom house, so I was like 'omG he's gonna be so far away!' lol

Is this normal?

btw - to all the mommies of under 3 mos olds, or anyone expecting within the next 3 mos:

http://www.wickedcoo...te-bottles.html

FREE 24 count case of enfamil premium newborn nursette bottles!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to give them your due date...and supposedly, you have to be expecting within 90 days to qualify for this offer. Though, I can't see what would stop anyone 'flubbing' on their due date if they were say, 4-5 mos out. Anyways, 6 of these babies cost $19 online, so I'd say this is a helluva deal. I can't do it for Nick because he's set on what he eats, and he's 4 mos already. This formula is designed for infants 0-3 mos.

Get it before it's all gone.

Another deal I just got - free Kindle book from Amazon - save $15

http://www.wickedcoo...l#disqus_thread

PLS NOTE: I am not affiliated with this link whatsoever...it's a freebie site I watch though.

I also just noticed on Publix's website that they have a $3 off coupon for Huggies, and a $7 coupon off 2 cans of Enfamil.

________________

Also, can I get some feedback on something? Should I start a Mommy Coupons and Freebies thread for things we all may run across? Or should we just post them here? I am always finding things, I'm sure I'm not the only one...would they be best viewed here, or in a sep thread?

I think posting it here would be great. Only because I am too lazy and would like to just access one thread :P But in terms of scrolling through pages and pages of info to find a coupon among everyone's posts, I think a separate thread would make more sense.

good idea, I'd rather post coupons here, I don't pay much attention to the other threads on vj...

I hear you, it is kind of painful to watch your baby outgrow a stage and become more and more independent. I really try to enjoy every minute and every single hug with Ben while he is little and totally attached to us. I hear the teenage years are tough, and I just can't picture him being a teenager who wants to make his own decisions and give us attitude, haha.

I'm so happy to have another boy, because I can go through all the baby stages again and I get to re-use Ben's stuff. I just got some boxes from the attic and I was just sitting there and smelling all his newborn clothes and almost cried like a retard but it does hurt to realize that he is growing so fast. It's like yesterday when he was wearing them but on the other hand I can't believe he was ever this little!

As for moving the baby out of the room- I wasn't ready at 4 months and neither was Ben... Back then our bedroom was upstairs and his room downstairs so I had to get up and run downstairs a couple times/night when he woke up and it got so draining that he just stayed with us. There are pros&cons- ideally I'd like baby to sleep in his own room and have privacy but practically it didn't work. Ben is still crawling into our bed at 2.5 years old... But this way we all get sleep although now that he is so big it is getting really crowded in our bed. He is getting a lot better about sleeping in his room but it has definitely been a very rough road!! It didn't change much either after he was weaned, I guess it depends a lot on the baby's personality. I am praying that this baby will be a better sleeper!!

Anna: yeah well what doesn't come from china these days? I am all for local but it's just impossible to avoid everything imported. thanks for all the advice on the diapes.

As for your mom, did you ever tell her to shut up? Well I prob wouldn't say shut up to her, but I'd say gee thanks mom, that makes me feel great that you think I have a fat butt, would you like me to go to the bathroom and puke? One of my friends' mother is like that and she has some real body image issues, she's a size 0 but she always tells me she's so much bigger than me (hahahaha) it's like she can't even see the way she really looks- like a skeleton! She is constantly looking at herself in the mirror or her reflection in the window and beating herself up about the way she looks although she is beautiful and she would look even better if she would put a few pounds on. I want to go and shake that mother!!

If you have to formula feed like we did, I highly suggest Costco's formula. We had Zak on Similac sensitive and he still was having issuesics were horrible as well. Kirkland 's was the only generic supposedly made by a formula manufacturer. I also found so many, like us, whose kids did better on it than Similac. I got 2 HUGE cans for $19.00! That lasted us 6 days with the twins.

We had Hana and Zak's b-day party today. We had a great time. It is so hard to believe they turned 2 on Friday!

The thing for us is that he's growing so much that he's taking up a good majority of his cradle. More often than not, when I wake up, his foot is sticking out between the bars. He's not stuck in pain, but obviously he's going to be needing more room shortly. I want to prolong moving him as long as I can, but I want him to have enough room. And we don't have the room for the crib in our room, nor do I feel comfortable having him sleep with us...God forbid he gets squished between us, or rolls off the bed (I know, not possible if he's between us, but still). So I feel the handwriting is 'on the wall' so to speak, and it makes me sad.

Btw, another deal!

I do think these deals might get lost in the shuffle, so I'd love more of a consensus from all the mommies if they would or wouldn't check another thread. Thanks to you and Nizzy for weighing in though.

I am on facebook, and a lot of my friends either were a fan of coupon sites there, or actually one of my friends started one of her own. So I get these notifications all the time! This one is from FreebieShark...I've gotten a ton of freebies from them, and it seems like a very legit site.

That's good to know about Costco's formula and price. We don't have a costco nearby here but there are some in counties south of here, so I can pass along the info if anyone needs it here. Kavi had generic formula mostly, besides free samples of branded. The only difference I saw between generic and a real brand was how fine the powder was. Otherwise, the ingredients were the same, word for word, on the back of the labels.

If we have another baby(still not sure), and I have problems again with bf-ing, I will remember to check out a Costco sometime to save more $ on formula.

Happy Birthday to your twins!!
