Kelly, 3 more weeks and the babies are considered full-term... Crazy. time flew! I'm nearly done with everything... We bought a Fisher Price swing, I used to hate those things, but borrowed one with Jona and it helped lots at night for a short period of time, but for those nights, it's worth the money! He fell asleep in it and then I could move him to bed... So we bought one that has an AC adapter which is awesome cause otherwise you keep buying those batteries, what a pain.... I got the car seat out, the pram for the stroller, the tub (we shall see, Jona HATED it), put the cosleeper together (thought the cats seem to think it is for them, lol), washed all the clothes (I bought a bunch, not too many since SIL gave me lots), finished 7 newborn all in one diapers and 6 small pockets, nearly done with the sewing projects... Got the boppy out and packed her birth bag (outfits and diapers and ointments for both of us). I now need to pack my bag, I better have it ready. I already got the breast pump and leftover nursing pads out and bought today some chux pads and Depends today (my midwives recommend them post partum to catch all the messes, and it makes sense, I can just throw'em away!). I also poured witch hazel over regular sanitary napkins and froze them, they recommended that too and it sounded pretty nice for PP! Then I have to pack hubbie's and Jona's bag since we will stay a day in Denver.... I cannot wait til everything is done, then I can relax a little more.

I'm nervous about my next appointment on the 12th, I'm praying GBS will be negative. I really do not want antibiotics, they make me very weak and then I might catch thrush which is horrible (my friend had it pp with her first, what a pain, she was on Diflucan for two weeks!).... I was negative with Jona, I'm taking my probiotics as recommended and put garlic in all the dishes... Fingers crossed...

yeah its insane how time is flying! I need another baby shower. Hubby wasn't careful at all with Ben's baby stuff when we moved. The bassinet broke. The pack'n'play was left outside in the rain for 1 week!!! and got moldy. The swing broke. And because I want to work I need a good double pump. So pretty much all of the expensive stuff we have to buy and it makes me so mad because this will probably be the last baby. I guess I will sell it at once upon a child. At least we have the room almost set up and I ordered the carseat and a new diaperbag.

About the "what's new" I don't know that is so disrespectful!!! Chuck has tried some fresh stuff like that before, and he always says he was just joking, but I look him right in the eyes and do the wicked witch voice (almost always works!) "Do. Not. Talk to your wife like that!" haha, they are like children sometimes, but it works. I would never let him be mean like that and he knows better. It would really hurt my feelings if he would act like that. About the laundry basket- I have to ask him too to carry them up the stairs but he does it and he doesn't complain about it. He yells at me when I try to do it myself but he is a man and he wouldn't ever even notice that there is stuff to carry up the stairs even if there was no room for him to get by anymore...

In general with the second pregnancy I feel like most people care a lot less, like friends, grandparents etc. My parents and IN-laws made a huge deal out of my first pregnancy now they don't even seem to care/ask at all, which is normal I guess? In fact my in-laws weren't happy at all when we told them we were having another baby, for whatever reason.. Now they seem to accept it but that's it.

Soooo, apparently allie has decided to go for round three with the stomach bug. She started throwing up on the 23rd at night, then nothing during the day, then again on the 25th all day and this afternoon she woke up with her belly looking like a third world baby...all bloated, HUGE. She ate and drank normal and acted normal, except for the occasional "mommy my belly is hurting". We gave her some GasX in hopes that it was just gas but sure enough right after she went to bed, she threw up. The smell is hideous. Eric almost threw up too. She threw up about five times in one hour until everything she ate and drank was out. Poor baby. I'm getting concerned now since she can't seem to get over this bug. I'll give her until tomorrow and if she still throws up in the morning, we're going to the doctor. I gave her a suppository and she zoomed out on me a while back...farting like a man and we had to air out the house cause it smelled so foul  ...makes you dizzy.

We bought Storkcraft and via Amazon. I set it up a couple weeks before birth. This time, my son is still using the crib and the new baby will be in a cosleeper, the new bedroom has less space anyways so a crib wouldn't fit right next to the bed. The cosleeper lasts a long time, til they can move basically, it has a 30lb limit...

Thanks Anna, We just past the 6 months, looking to start setting up the crib and the car seat stuff. We are far away from family being on the west coast and everybody are out in NY, so not much of a baby shower, looking for advice from all the mommy's who have hands on experience.

Oh no!!! How is she today - did you have to go to the doctor?

At what month do you ladies start to set up the Crib?

Any brand in particular and what places have you bought?

We got ours at JCPenney - it was the Storkcraft Monique. We like it because it converts from a newborn's crib to a twin sized bed for a young child. I think I was about 7 months along before we had it up, but only because we had to get the room painted and carpeted first. ETA I don't see it on JCPs site now so I gave you the Amazon link.

NO we didn't go to the doctor. Again Allie seemed fine in the morning, she acted normal, showed signs of appetite but today I only let her eat crackers and a banana and drink some gatorade. She also started the 'Mommy my belly is hurting" right around noon, just like yesterday. She just woke up and seems fine. HOWEVER, Adam is sitting next to me gagging...poor baby...now it's his turn again. I hope that it won't be as bad for him. This really sucks. We can't seem to get rid of it and today is such a sh!tty day. it's been raining all day...blah

@ Evi: I hop eeveryone will feel fine again soon... Sounds terrible!

Yeah the Storkcraft wasn't overly expensive. I forget the name of ours, but it is convertible into a twin bed. It is a drop-side crib and was affectd by a recall, but they send us new hardware instantly. I'm not too worried about that, we tighten screws every couple of months in all our furniture which is key! Plus the new hardware is in.... And that is metal instead of plastic rails.

Hey mommies...just popping in to say a quick hello and that I've been lurking around, but haven't really been posting. But I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, I hope everyone's feeling ok, and *hugz* to those who are finding it physically tough. I actually didn't like being pregnant, it was v hard on ,me...so I can relate. Although, would you believe now I miss it every now and again? crazy, I know.

Here's a quick pick of Nick (say that three times) ;) from Christmas Eve.

Nick is so handsome! He is a good combo of you and the hubby!!

Ms Bollinger..How exciting! BTW i LOVE the name Serena!! Im 34w4d tomorrow and seeing the OB for my GBS test and having an ultrasound to see how big Ms Salma is and what position she is in. I dont think they will check me yet, and if they want to, ill probably decline. Too early yet and I learned with Zaid that dilation and effacement dont mean much. I was 4 cm for over a week with little to no contractions and no sign of labor..lol. All the doctor did was get me WAY too anxious by letting me know how dilated I was at each appt. Best of luck these last few days or weeks.

Anna, our old crib got recalled and the only reason I returned it to Target is bc they reimbursed us 299$ for the crib and we only paid 199$ for it lol. We ended up buying Zaid a toddler bedroom set with it. This time I was sure not to get a drop side rail.
