Here! :) I worked 2 days, now off for 4. and this is full time. I love it although my work days are soo long.

Thanks for the input about the glucose test, for some reason I thought it required fasting (somehow I remember drinking the stuff on an empty stomach with Ben). I asked my midwife at work yesterday and she said I can absolutely eat normal on that day, just not eat anything after the drink. I will definitly cut down on the carbs though!

She even suggested to draw it right there at work but I had a few snickers already... :P

Anna: that sucks about the maternity stuff. I only have a few maternity tops, I use regular tops that are longer. I have the 2 skinny jeans from motherhood maternity and a few maternity jeans from the Gap and Business pants for work from target. But I use all my pre-pregnancy shirts that are longer/stretchier. My boss ordered me scrubs in Large and the pants are wayyyy too big, they constantly fall off! I look huge in those.

Oh I also bought some tank tops from H&M mommy when I was in Germany. I wear them every day. Maybe your sister can send you some, they are really cheap and they go with everything.

Evi: hehe your kids sound like they r so much fun!

My daughter is 5 months old today. :) And she keeps getting a wicked looking diaper rash from pooping in her diaper overnight - poor thing! It usually goes away pretty fast but I feel so bad for her! Of course I have the one child who can fill her diaper with poop and still sleep for hours after that. Heh.

@ Tracy: I think Jona stopped pooping at night around 4 months, before that the frequency went down, soon she won't be having bowel movements anymore at night which makes everyone's life easier (at least Jona didn't like night diaper changes)!

@ Chnst: I'm just disappointed in my sister for doing that! I keep wearing my normal stuff, but the normal tank tops are getting short since my belly is mostly outwards, so they ride up and my belly is exposed... That's why I had 4 layering tanks... Arrrgghh. I'm fine with other stuff since SIL gave me some sweaters and cardigans in size M which fit now. I just like layering a lot, especially since it gets so wicked cold here. At least I now have a car with heated seats so trips to the store don't get too cold!

Ahhhh I'm so uncomfy at night, I'm a belly sleeper, but that's out of the question, Eloise starts kicking right away.. ;) But sleeping on my side or back hurts my bones, seriously, my tailbone and hip bones just ache as if I partied all night.

Yesterday Abuelita's Xmas present for Jona arrived and I put it together right away to see if it's ok and everything is there - it's a wooden play kitchen and we put it into his room right away, since there will be other Xmas presents that can stay warpped for the big day (which is the 24th in our house, just like in Germany, hehehehe). OMG he loves it. He played for 2 hours straight yesterday, egg in the pan, pepper and salt on it, and then served it Garfield. :D

Not worth the hassle.... IRL I'm not very confrontational, and she just moved to Shanghai, so it's not like hm I can get her to do something about this. I just learned to not lend the stuff to her again. Next time she asks (which she will, she goes twice a year to Germany and my parents come once to me, so it's not hard to get the stuff to her) one of my friends just happens to have them already, ooops.

Hey ladies, I feel kind of lazy asking this here but you guys are a wealth of knowledge so here it goes: does Eman (he is 3) need a passport to travel to canada?

Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry both proof of citizenship and proof of identity. A valid U.S. passport, passport card or NEXUS card (see below) satisfies these requirements for U.S. citizens. If U.S. citizen travelers to Canada do not have a passport, passport card or approved alternate document such as a NEXUS card, they must show a government-issued photo ID (e.g. Driver’s License) and proof of U.S. citizenship such as a U.S. birth certificate, naturalization certificate, or expired U.S. passport. Children under 16 need only present proof of U.S. citizenship.

...

When returning to the United States from Canada, it is very important to note that all U.S. citizens are required to present a valid U.S. passport to enter or re-enter the United States via air. For entry into the United States via land and sea borders, U.S. citizens must present either a U.S. passport, passport card, NEXUS card, Enhanced Drivers License or other Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI)-compliant document. The only exception to this requirement is for U.S. citizens under the age of 16 (or under 19, if traveling with a school, religious, or other youth group) who need only present a birth certificate (original, photocopy or certified copy), Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or naturalization certificate.

Anna: I'd say something. She's your sister. You don't have to be confrontational but I'd write an email and make it sarcastic, like "thanks for shrinking my stuff beyotch, I'm expecting a really big&cool christmas present from Shanghai this year" Then write something neutral to show her you're over it, so that hopefully it will make her want to appologize (and send you sweet gift). :P Better than hearing it from your parents or other sister.

Thanks for the info! I was out and trying to navigate the internet using my phone and it was not working out. I appreciate it!

I hear ya! Thank God no snow here yet, but its pretty cold and Ben is not a fan of hats/gloves/big puffy coats...

On a good note- I passed my glucose test!!! My midwife walked by my desk and nonchalantly dropped a snickers right in front of me at work today. so so glad. I was worried but everything is fine with the baby, I tried an abdominal binder today for my pelvic issues and it helps stabilize my hips a little better.

My legs are killing me from being on my feet for so long. They hurt so bad at night I can hardly sleep and it's not much better in the morning. I'm off for 2 days now so hopefully Ben will let me put my feet up tomorrow.

Anna how r you doing? Any more Braxton Hicks?

@ Steffi: What kind of thing is that? The belly binder I mean... Sometimes her head is right on my cervix and it would be nice to elevate her head a little, but that belly band thing from Motherhood Maternity does nada for me. Conratz on the GD, I was so glad I got it over with, cause it would risk me out of the birthing center!!! Oh did I mention I hired a doula? I like her soooo much and she only costs me $100 since I'm the 5th birth she is attending and that's the one that gets her certified... She has 4 kidlets herself... And we already talked for hours on the phone!

Just 5 more days before Hubbie has to hand in is last paper. he stressed out so much, his first paper already came back graded at the highest grade and the professor even showed it to the rest of the class as exemplary graduate level writing... So much for the freaking out, hahahaha. I have my sewing projects for when hubbie is done, wetbags and a bunch of pink diapers and changing pads, it should take about 3 days to get that done... Can't wait!

Only 10-15 Braxton Hicks per day the last couple of days after the Sunday scare... I have no idea what caused all those contractions. But instead I now have lovely butt pain, yup, my butt bones for the lack of a better term hurt. Yikes, it might be the beginning of sciatic pain. Blech, I really get all the pains one can get this pregnancy, that better mean a fast and easy birth.

Jona actually does good with the cold weather gear... Luckily. No fights there. The car is in the garage so just fleece coats and fleece booties in there, and he knows the drill, once we are at our destination, out of the car seat, into the puffy coat and boots.... He even wants his gloves. And he asks for his hat. He won't leave the car without one....
