Hi, ladies

I hope that everyone and the little ones are well.

Our baby arrived October 27. I ended up having an unplanned C section because of the baby's positioning + cord compression. So, I'm pretty sore, but we're enjoying the crazy first days of the life of Madeleine Agnes:

:)

she's beautiful!! Congratulations!

Kelly: wow maybe its time for an epi pen? Poor little guy, that must have been scary for you! I hope you guys can figure out what the problem is.

Now when did you change from Laila to Salma (I love Salma!!)

Anya: I don't know about the baby contest... For some reason all my friends with babies are sending me emails to vote for their baby, so that must be a huge thing these days. Why is that contest so important to you? I think I would have given up by now. :P

@Kelly. It was so helpful when we took Hana to the allergist. It turned out to be something totally different than what we thought. Now that we avoid those foods, her immunity seems better and she hardly ever vomits. Good luck with it!

@EoG: Madeline is beautiful! Congrats!

Congratulations! She is adorable. :) Hope you are feeling even better by now!

I know I don't post in here as much, but I still read sometimes!

As for us...Kavi will be 3 in about 3 months, wow!!

We started potty training him more seriously in early September and he is fully daytime potty trained. He goes at home, at stores, wherever! Still using a diaper at night because I know that takes longer, but most mornings he's dry.

We went on a cruise at the end of September and Kavi came too. He had a lot of fun. They have kids programs on board for ages 2 and up. Kavi didn't want to stay at their play area, but if a child is used to daycare they'd probably love to stay and play for hours!! It's like a limited daycare program, for no extra cost!

Traveling with a child is definitely do-able, as most here know with having to visit family in other countries. :) In case anyone thinks having a child has to stop you from traveling, it doesn't! Yes there can be a financial impact of paying for another person, but getting your child used to being in cars for a long amount of time or planes is possible when you start young. We take Kavi on several 9-10 hour road trips every year to visit my family, his first when he was 2 months old, and we had gone to India with him too. He doesn't get mad about it because he thinks it's just what you have to do. Anyway, I am just putting that out there for anyone who worries about travel after a baby comes along! It's not a piece of cake, but it can be done.
