I thought I would post here as well what some of my local twin mommies turned me on to...Amazon mom www.amazon.com/mom You can order diapers online and have them shipped to your house for free for a fraction of what you pay locally. I just ordered Pampers with them and got a super gigantic box, shipped to my house, for $26. This box is $38 at my local Sam's and $40 at BRU. Yay for saving money!

Isnt that great? I got pampers, wips, milk storage bags, and nursing pads from their subscribe and save :) love amazon.com!!! They have a great service also. I had to return/replace a stroller i ordered and they got the UPS to pick it up from my house and ship the replacement one-day shipping for free.

Gabby -

wow, that's a lot to juggle!!! I'm the one going to Thailand with my baby - really cant compare to you! I wish you luck. I'm flying a total of 27 hr though.. so I'm just going to be super duper tired and hope Sam doesnt get too mad. I hope the basinet works (I ordered for him and seems that i'll get it too) becasue he only sleeps well on his tummy and he will not sleep on his back or even on me. I'm flying with Korean, I know their service is super!

I just bought this wonderful new stroller called Joovy Cooper and i love it. It's light weight (a bit heavy for me at 17lbs but a lot lighter than my travel system) and will hold all the bags without tipping over (with or without a baby in the seat) and pretty compact too. So i'll bring this stroller with me and I can already see how much this wil help me!

BTW, I'm thinking about entering Sam in this Gapbaby photo contest thing... have anyone done this?

Thanks Vi - I'm still deciding :) I think it's fun, when they are still young. I wont do it if he's older and more aware of his looks or self confident :)

Wow, I had a lot to read to catch up :) Didn't realize how long it has been since I've been here. Life has been pretty hectic for us, with hubby in nursing school and studying ALL THE TIME. I finished up my old job last week, start a new one next week. Declan and I are in CT right now because my mom had back surgery today. Declan's behavior has been frustrating. I know it is because his routine is all thrown off ... we said goodbye to his "old school" (daycare) and he will start a new one next week, he has been sleeping in bed with me down here, not napping, I have been running all over the place. Today, my friend babysat him so I could go to the hospital and see my mom after surgery. Apparently, Declan was furious that I left him and hit and kicked her (not at all typical for him). Tonight, he handed me his sneakers and told me that he wanted to go home and see daddy. I'm here at least 2 more days. It is so exhausting having constant Declan when he is clingy and crabby.

Reading the stories about the kids behaviors made me laugh and totally feel better.

Declan is going to be a fireman for Halloween. That is his new favorite thing and we already had a fire hat and a toy dalmation. Bought boots and a fireman raincoat and we are all set. And the best thing is that we can put lots of layers underneat because NH is cold in October.

If you were to choose a travel system (carseat+stroller)- which one between these 2 would you choose? Chicco Cortina KeyFit 30 Travel System (295$) or the Britax Chaperone Travel System (530$) ? Which one is the safest? I like them both, but I cant make up my mind, plus i read the reviews on the Britax and aparently the carseat will not fit in a smaller car (which my mom has).

Also, is it safe to buy these from Diaper.com? Have you ever bought from that website?

Thanks girls,

Gab :help:by

PS How in the world do you add pics? i cant find the button !!

Ok, here are some photos of the 2 items!

@ Autumn: Oh no tough times! I could tell Jona was acting up a little back home, I had to be a little firmer than usually, just cause my parents would fulfill every wish he had, and that sort of creates a monster.... I got it under control though. But you can tell they miss their daddies. Jona clung to my dad like crazy. He wanted to be cuddled and carried by Opa all day long... They went every morning to go get bread rolls at the bakery, go for walks and play soccer... He loved it.

We had our one and only ultrasound yesterday, and hubbie made me find out the gender. I'm rather flabbergasted as I expected a boy, but we're having a girl! I cannot quite believe it yet... Seems too good!!!! :) One of each! As I suspected, my placenta is attached towards the belly button which is why I didn't feel distinct fetal movement until 17 weeks and only weird movements before, it was dampened by the placenta... Our little girl weighs in just right, but is really tall. Her thigh bones are measuring 4 weeks ahead... Wow! She moved a lot, her head is down already (just like her brother), and everything is perfect (no signs of any anomalies!). We loved the ob, he would be our backup in case we risk out of the birthing center. He gave us tons of pictures, he told us his family is German and his son is an AF officer too, so I guess we clicked. ;) He wished us all the best at the end and said jokingly you don't want to see me again, so you can have your birthing center birth! That was so nice, and even if I risk out, I would feel comfortable with him (he tries to avoid interventions and does breech births all the time and such). He is a really nice guy and if anyone lives in Denver, I can only recommend him.

Congratulations on your little girl, Anna!

Lisa, I love my Moby, but I don't know anything about the other one. There's a learning curve when it comes to tying the Moby. I almost gave up, but I spent some time watching instructional videos on YouTube and now I can't imagine being without it. I didn't, however, use the hug hold when he was a newborn, because either he didn't like it or I wasn't doing it correctly. I started using it once he had head control and I could face him outwards.

Thank you both for your input...I was leaning towards the Moby, but there are two concerning things:

1 - a lot of the negative reviews say that it isn't great for kids who 'run hot'....Nick is constantly kicking blankets and things off him. Hubby runs hot too. Reviews say it's uncomfortable after 10 mins...

2- All that fabric on the floor when you're putting it on has to be unsanitary?

But it looks sturdier than the Dr Sears one...

Meh! Choices choices.

I haven't had any issues with #1 and I think Adam runs hot as well. Do people say it's uncomfortable as in it hurts mom's back? I don't find that at all.

#2 was a concern for me when Adam was younger. I would tie it on me at home before going out. Now I'm a lot more lax about things like that, lol. But I do know that there are techniques to use so that the ends don't touch the ground when you tie it on.

ETA: Example video for #2 (with back carry which I need to learn!):

The bit in red is good to know!!

No, uncomfortable as in heat wise. I think it looks like the sling which would be least painful on mom's back as it evenly distributes the weight...

I still like the idea of the Moby better....
