Chsnt@ the flight to Miami was a nightmare,Sofia walked around plane 98488484984 times non stop, we stopped in Miami , then changed planes Miami-Lima thta flight was really cool, she slept the whole time and oh surprise! I met one of my sister's best friend's and she was sitting next to me by coincidence, she was very helpful. Coming back it was a direct flight, it was at night so it helped alot. She slept probably 6hrs from the 8 hrs, not bad at all, I love to fly by Lan Chile, it's awesome, the crew is so helpful, I cannot say the same thing about American airlines, I hated it!

I don't if if somebody read my fb but over there we took Sofia to the Drs, she got a cough for the longest time (I'm sure some of you remember me mentioning it a few times here) well, the Dr prescribed her some medicine and it worked magic, after a few days the cough was gone!

Right now she is taking a nap is gonna take me a few days to go back to reality, I loved being spolied there, I'm missing them so much and Sofia is realizing that they are not here, she keeps calling them

time go go mommies

see ya

Thanks! He is still running a fever but playing and no other symptoms than being a little whiny and the temperature. If it's not better by tomorrow night I will take him to see his doc just in case its an ear infection.

BTW did you guys hear about the tylenol/motrin recalls? I was looking for the right amount for his weight and came across the recall, they recalled pretty much all tylenol adult and children's/infants tylenol, some motrin, rolaid etc, because of a packaging chemical leaking into the medicine and causing some pretty serious problems to a lot of people. If you guys have tylenol at home, look up the LOT numbers online and see if they were part of the recall.

Vi: Ben was running around on the airplane too, he just didn't understand why he needed to be on his seat, and he just loves making new "friends" and talking to strangers. it was a pretty bumpy flight and add a really miserable and rude Delta crew, I can tell you they yelled at him a few times and sent him straight back to his seat... Oh well. They were mad because I changed Ben on the floor because he doesn't fit on the tiny changing table above the toilet. But what else can I do? On the flight to Berlin he slept the entire time because it was an overnight flight but on the way back he was awake for most of the 8 hours.. The stewardess refused to give him food even though we paid for his seat, then all of a sudden they were "out of food" (not that its really toddler friendly anyway) and thank God I had a baby food jar with me, but it took them another hour (!!!) to get it lukewarm, they were so rude! If you have to pay full price for a 2 year olde then they should at least give him something to eat, right?

@ZaidsMommy: Hope you feel better soon!

And I also hope all the babies who are not well regain full health!

My doctor started me on 0.025g of Synthroid yesterday. He told me that I am sub-clinically hypothyroid, because I am just at the border. He also said that treatment will only help, there are no downsides, so we should go ahead with it. The dosage is quite small, so I don't expect to feel full of energy due to a speedy metabolism anytime soon, but if it's good for my baby and my health, I am taking it. I do not exhibit any of the clinical signs of hypothyroidism, zero symptoms, the doctor said it is probably because right now my number is borderline. But, the fact that I am borderline can change within the next two years, as the American Association of Endocrinologists are going to decrease the cut-off number for a patient to be considered hypothyroid. So technically, my numbers fast forwarded to the next two years, even if still the exact same, will have me documented as "full-blown" hypothyroid.

My aptmnt for the OB U/S is on Monday, I get to see everything (hopefully all is well and the way it is supposed to be), and I get a due-date :) . Will let you all know then!

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

Do we have a new baby boy???

We do!

Hey everyone....Nicholas Cedric was born on Tuesday, Sept 7, weighing in at 7 lbs 5 oz, 21.5 inches long.

It's cool that the hospital has wifi

Anyhoo, story goes like this: I was induced late Sunday night. They induced labor, and I started having contractions. But I was not dilating at all. So one pill after another, after another, etc...They couldn't start me on Pitocin until I dilated, so I was kinda in this holding pattern.

So the contractions were bad, every 1-2 minutes for like 36 hours! Then finally, my doc gives me a choice....I could come back the next week, or I could go for a Csection. But he also said that he couldn't guarantee that I would even dilate then, or dilate big enough to pass the baby. Also, there was a higher risk for the baby to die in utero because of the GD.

So we opted for the C. Which was VERY STRANGE and weird indeed!!!

So anyways, he's awesome. I've been quite sick, but the nurses say I'm a trooper. We've had some latching problems at first with breastfeeding, but it seems to be under control now. I think we're getting discharged tomorrow!!!

Here's a pic of my two men:

Welcome to the world baby Nicholas! :star:

My husband finally returned from his overseas trip. Let's see...what happenned while he was gone. Friday night Zak decided to drink baby wash in the bath tub. He starts gagging so I pull him out. He vomits twice all over me. So...I take my clothes and the bath mat and toss them in the washer. Well...I forgot to pull my iPhone out. So...Saturday we head to the ATT store and I get a new one. Hana starts getting sick. She comes down with an upper respiratory infection and didn't want me to let her go for 2 straight days. In the meantime, Zak is bouncing (literally) off the walls. I was never so happy to have my mom show up Monday afternoon to lend a helping hand for two days. I survived. Hicham got back last night. Hana's face just lit up this morning when she saw him.

@Kelly: I hope it is not your gallbladder acting up. I had mine out a few years ago after a a gallbladder attack (the worst thing ever). Recovering from that surgery was worse than recovering from a c-section. Try to avoid fatty and spicy foods.
