He's employed now. Have him complete the I-134 sign and date it now. Then send it to you with the appropriate supporting documentation and recent pay stubs. Generally a February I-134 that looks good will not be questioned in March or April.

Exactly right! Now, as to paying the cost of uniting here when your visa is approved...that's another story altogether.

yer consulate is listed as Armenia? Sorry, can't figure it out - are you certain you know what's gonig on with the casefile?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I found out that the Consulate that will process our Petition doesn't accept co-sponsor for K1 Visa. :help:

Is this legal? Isn't considered discrimination if you don't have a job/money you can't have a wife? I thought all the consulates would accept co-sponsors!

OP- what consulate is yours?

On this very hard times, people losing jobs and facing difficulties with financial and career status, where does the US Immigration stand on this?

Is there any special consideration to those couple or people having problems like these?

For the OP, just hang on there. Support your fiance morally and emotionally right now. I hope he can find a job as soon as possible.

You've taken a huge leap into obscure territory. The affidavit of support is about assuring the US taxpayers won't end up supporting somebody's chosen foreign spouse. You can bring a foreign spouse or fiance(e) if the USC and the relationship qualify. It's a privilege, not a right. This isn't about who you can marry but rather who is qualified to sponsor an immigrant. The same sponsorship standards apply to any foreign relative, not just somebody one wants to or has married.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Hm, I see... but how about co-sponsors? Like, why who lives in Brazil for example can have a co sponsor and who lives in her country can not?

I'm just curious...

Thanks for answering by the way!

Its a good question, but you have to remember that sometimes there is no logic in actions, just actions. BUT the good news is that its all about the consulate and not the nationality. If your from say Vietnam and study in France, your going to be treated like a French national and be able to use a co sponsor. We were lucky enough to be living in Europe when we did the interview so we were both able to attend, answer questions, and just have a very relaxed "this is only a formality" type interview. Consulates have their own reasons for being strict (fake marriages etc) and they often don't allow co sponsors to try and limit fraud (its the only thing I can think of). But your right.... it just doesn't make sense.
