Did anyone watch this last night?

It was really interesting how a minuteman changed his attitude towards illegal immigrants after spending 30 days with a family of them and seeing where they came from and how they coped in the US.

Quite an eye opener.

Yeah, what's up with the time? G. watched it (thought it was great) but I was like "Stay up until midnight? When I have to get up at 6:30? No way!" So I missed it. (And he was exhausted all day.)

I've set the whole series to record. I like Morgan Spurlock so figured it would be worth a watch.

I just watched the program 30 Days on FX last night. It was really very funny and interesting. Maybe now the American media will show both sides of this issue.

I work in the production side of the offshore oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico. I often live and work with the illegal aliens from Mexico and Central America that the crooked construction contractors hire to do construction work on our offshore facilities (for less than prevailing wages).

I don't have any animousity against these guys and have had some discussions with the few that actually speak enough English (most don't).

But I live in Texas when I'm not working on the sea and see what this large influx of illegal aliens is doing to our communities and this ####### has to stop. It is well known that these illegal workers employ identity theft, document fraud, and lie to get these jobs. We don't know who these people really are or what they are about. The employers pad their profits from this institutional corruption and often prefer to hire cheap illegal workers over the legal workers. Illegal immigration benefits the illegal alien and the crooks that exploit them. This institutional corruption just sets the tone for more corruption to flourish throughout our society. It is no secret to anyone that our government institutions have been corrupted by rich and powerful interests to allow this to flourish against the will of the vast majority of Americans.

The solution to the problems in Mexico, Central America, and the rest of the 3rd world do not rest on the USA allowing the hundreds of millions to scam their way into our country illegally in unlimited numbers. These problems must be solved by the foreign governments of which these illegals are citizens.

This ####### does not benefit a vast majority of Americans and lowers the quality of life in the most impacted communities. The institutional corruption of our government by Big Business interests at the expense of American citizens is shameful and the American people shouldn't be propagandized by these bleeding heart TV shows.

I didn't see this show, but from the description it is likely bleeding heart pro-amnesty propaganda that shows one side of the issue. Come see the real thing and then decide for yourself.

I think the whole point of the show is NOT to be bleeding heart pro-amnesty propaganda that shows one side of the issue. Maybe you should try to catch it.

I didn't post this to get everyone's views on a subject I know there are strong views about. It was more to see how an extreme hater of illegal immigrants changed his perspective of them and actually sympathised with their situation.

The guy was actually a cuban who came to the US legally at the age of 7 with his parents. The one thing that did surprise me was that he mainly spoke Spanish to the family. I would have thought he would have been more of a "in America, speak English" kinda guy.

I did watch it and I did get the feeling that it was pro-amnesty and completely one sided.

On another message board I visit someone claims he is their uncle and that he didn't really change his views, he only did it for the compensation (I'm assuming monetary). *shrug*
