Clinton,

Seriously that attitude isn't going to get you any friends here.

VJ members are not wrong, the correct form to use for K-1 Affidavit of Support is the I-134 unless the Embassy requires the I-864. Manila doesn't require it, if they accepted it then good for you but you took a chance in bringing the wrong form which could have delayed the Visa issuance. It really is that simple.

FWIW, if you can find a way to drop the attitude you will find a lot of help & support on VJ. If you can't then don't expect to find much of either here.

Congrats to your fiancée on passing the interview, I hope the rest works out as well for her.

:wow: ...Space cadet Clinton...you're back! I see that you got into your time machine, traveled to June 9, and attended your fiancée's interview. Then you traveled back to the present time simply to inform us that your I-864 worked. Thank you very much for all the trouble you went to. I imagine that time travel is a risky business.

By the way, how in the world do you keep your VJ timeline straight? If your fiancée's interview is on June 9 and you time-travel there on June 3, and then travel back in time from June 9 to June 3, then when does her interview really take place? Is it June 3 or June 9? I'm so confused!

So question. Would Manila accept a co-sponsor that is a close friend If I can provide documented proof that we've known each other for 30+ years? (Basically since birth)?

there really isn't a yes or no answer to your question. The CO will consider the Evidence on Financial Support on a case by case basis. The CO is trying to determine whether it is likely the applicant will become a public charge. there has been some debate on this thread about using the I-134 or  I-864. Neither one is a binding legal document for a K-1 Visa. the CO can look at the totality of circumstances to determine if there is sufficient evidence of financial support.
