Hi all! So, me and my American Fiancee are currently awaiting an interview date from the London embassy and obviously we're discussing wedding ideas etc. I believe I had read somewhere that the type of wedding we have can affect how easy/hard it is applying for the AOS.

So my question is...

Do we need to have a full blown wedding as proof of our relationship, or is a civil ceremony enough at this point seeing as we've gone through K1?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Tom.

I don't think the type of wedding really matters as long as you can prove that you have a bona fide marital relationship. Some people just had civil weddings and had no problems getting approved because they had all the required documentation/evidence ^___^

A civil ceremony will be just fine, USCIS won't care about the wedding. In fact, they are aware that a lot of people have very quick civil ceremonies so that they can file for AOS and then have a big 'do' afterwards.

I did the deed in Vegas. :D

The type of wedding you have is of no importance... it is the proof that you are indeed have a bona fide marriage that is the important part.

Good luck.

Jezebel! Scarlet woman!

You are making assumptions about gender.

Nope, I have met Trompe in person and she is definitely a lady, though I have not performed a full inspection.

Don't get it on my cable system -- what was the programme?

Transvestite Wives - Transvestite Wives

TV-14

Most wives balk at the idea of introducing another woman into their marriage. How about when that second woman is her husband - in drag? In this documentary we take a look into the lives of 3 couples where the women are married to men who dress like women
