So when a man puts up the 'well, she was asking for it' defence, because she's wearing 'provocative' clothing, you're ok with that, you'd let him off a sex crime, like rape? Men can control themselves, but if people allow them to use that as a defence less men will feel that society cares whether or not they do. How sad.

Of course I'm not ok with that. I said that tongue in cheek - I find it sad, too, but I'm always being told that my expectations are too high. Like that thread about expecting to be taken seriously in the workplace rather than taking it as a compliment that men are probably ogling my breasts while I'm giving a presentation.

Oh - this post started because of some 'Army' stuff, so I wanted to ask, to try to keep it all 'on topic'. There's also some extra things about being a lesbian and what you can't do, or do, whilst in the Army, covered under the UCMJ.

The boys in the original post were subject to those rules, from the UCMJ, and were dealt with, inside of those rules.
