my mistake

I recently asked a question on the forum and stated it was my first post. Obviously that was incorrect. Regarding my first post back in July, my circumstances were that I had to go away and could not take care of all of the details and filing procedures. So YES, I did hire an attourney. Whether it was a mistake or not -- I believe it to be a very good choice for me considering the circumstances. And also that my fiance asks me questions now regarding some of the things their 'man' in Moscow is asking her. So in my situation not getting the help of a third party would have delayed the process by many months. And instead of having an interview in Feb we would be waiting until late in 2010 for the process to be where it is today. That I have studied and understand the process since then I agree that the use of a lawyer is not necessary for the average situation. But mine was an exceptional circumstance which shall remain ours.

Thanks for all your input. There is no need to critisize and posture whether for the OP or to start a debate. Fact is -- I was unable to read most of the replies as I was already away from internet availability.

We hired a lawyer too, no shame in asking for help if you need it

Good luck.

Thanks for your post. Yes, while for most individuals a lawyer isn't needed, it is good to remember that there are certainly situations and circumstances that make using a lawyer either necessary or at least preferable. Good luck at your interview :)
