if an approved f2a (unmarried children) immigrant enters USA. how long does he/she be able to get the greencard? can the immigrant file for a petition to his/her parents a year after date from the arrival?. can the unmarried child immigrant be married already if ever he/she is in the USA or there is a waiting period? thank you

- if an approved f2a (unmarried children) immigrant enters USA. how long does he/she be able to get the greencard?

They will get the greencard in the mail a few weeks after they arrived. If nothing has arrived within 2 months, I'd check on it, just in case there weas a change of address not recorded or similar.

- can the immigrant file for a petition to his/her parents a year after date from the arrival?

I assume this is a different case to the above, as the above immigrant was sponsored by his/ her parents, thus they are already in the USA... In any case, a greencard holder cannot sponsor their parents. So thye would need to wait until they are a US citizen (5 years), then start a petition.

- can the unmarried child immigrant be married already if ever he/she is in the USA or there is a waiting period? thank you

Once the unmarried child got his/ her visa and is in the USA, they are a greencard holder and can marry who they wish.

thanks for the reply.

-the petitioner is the father. the father and the mother filed divorce long ago. so you mean the immigrant cant file for a petition for his/her mother unless he/she will become a US Citizen?

if ever the immigrant will marry a non-citizen? can she/he petition the spouse?

That is correct; only citizens can file for parents.

Yes, once the immigrant is in the USA she can marry and file for their spouse, as a greencard holder or later as a citizen.
