but decided to check a blog I check quite frequently and ran into this post.

It's so crazy, so out there, that I had to share.

Especially knowing that so many people here on OT will find themselves nodding in agreement as they read it.

The powers that be have planned first for a financial collapse that will make the great depression look like a picnic. This will occur through the maneuvering of the great banks and financial institutions of the world, through stock manipulation, and interest rate changes. Most people will be indebted to the federal government through bank and credit card debt, etc. The governments will recall all debts immediately, but most people will be unable to pay and will be bankrupted. This will cause generalized financial panic, which will occur simultaneously worldwide, as the powers that be firmly believe in controlling people through finances.

Doesn’t sound pleasant, does it? I don’t know the exact time frame for all of this, and wouldn’t want to even guess. The good news is that if a person is debt-free, owes nothing to the government or credit debt, and can live self sufficiently, they may do better than others. I would invest in gold, not stocks, if I had the income. Gold will once again be the world standard, and dollars will be pretty useless (remember after the Civil War? Our money will be worth about what confederate money was after the collapse).

Next there will be a military takeover, region by region, as the government declares a state of emergency and martial law. People will have panicked, there will be an anarchical state in most localities, and the government will justify its move as being necessary to control panicked citizens. The cult trained military leaders and people under their direction will use arms as well as crowd control techniques (See here

to implement this new state of affairs. Military bases will be set up, in each locality (actually, they are already here, but are covert). In the next few years, they will go above ground and be revealed. Each locality will have regional bases and leaders to which they are accountable. The hierarchy will closely reflect the current covert hierarchy.

If everyone on VJ was smart they'd start the immigration process in reverse and get the heck out of dodge.

I've seen Zeitgeist...a few years ago. And I've heard all the conspiracy theories. I HOPE our government doesn't end up taking control of us, but if it's inevitable... I just wanna know - WHAT DO WE DO???

Invest in tons of gold? Move out of the country? And, if so, to where? Has anyone proposed what we can do to prevent the government from doing this? Or should we just wait until it happens and then react?

What are your ideas?

I just went to sleep after a long day of finishing off my federal and state income taxes. Just told my wife where to sign, so in case I did goof, we can go to jail together. Life on this earth is short, maybe for not all of us, wife sees six month old babies die. Did have enough money in my checking account to pay the tax bill, good news I didn't have to touch our savings. But always feel I have really been screwed.

Did get my taxes done early this year, so can get that out of my mind and live a normal life, until next year, same old ####### again. Just about anything in this country deals with money. If someone hurts you, the courts put a dollar value on it, sometimes you would just like to hear, I am sorry. But sure hear enough about being sorry when I buy a piece of ####### that should be covered under warranty or a recall, but just hear, we are sorry.

At times its good just to get away, no cell phones, computers, radios, TV, and just enjoy the beauty of nature, even taking a breathe of fresh air can be a rewarding experience. Unfortunately, we live in a country where just too damn many people are making money with money, and greed really sets in big time.

Some can find solace in an afterlife, can only hope there is some truth to that. Unfortunately, the way it is, always someone trying to screw you, no matter what your dealings are. That screwing leads you to being a slave.

I wonder about those 75,000 soldiers armed with Russian made AK-47's, would those guys actually use those against their own people at the will of that a$$hole, Chavez? I know if it was me, I would be pointing that AK-47 at that b@stard. Our government is a bit more careful, just push us enough so we don't go over the edge. But with them setting trade deficit policies that are costing jobs and poverty, they are getting damn close to it.

They are the ones that should be worried, we far outnumber them, and unlike Venezuela, we have guns. Found it absurd that 40 republicans stuck together like glue. Can't at least one of these guys speak out for themselves and respond, this is the will of the people that I represent? Not even one, so who in the fuvk is running this country. We sure in the hell aren't. Yeah, the democrats are just as bad.

I already have gold and silver along with enough weapons and ammo. And I guess I can reverse the immigration process of my Belorussian / Russian ancestors and return to my Belorussian / Russian roots since I'm married to one.

But unlike some...I'm not losing any sleep agonizing over doom and gloom. My people have survived in the face of adversity before and will do so again.

Unlike your circumstance, I have actually met my relatives in Belarus / Russia and spent time in the village my grandparents were born. Being born in America and growing up during the Cold War era my mom never prodded my brother and I to embrace our Russian heritage. In fact, they tried to hide it. I remember my grandparents well since they lived only a few miles from us here in Houston. They always referred to their land of birth as the "old country" and didn't broadcast that they were from the Soviet Union. Most often they told people they were from Eastern Europe and said little else. They died when I was 12 years old and I didn't know they were born in what was then the USSR until I was in my 20's and looked on a map to see what part of Europe their village was located. I was shocked to learn it was in the middle of the Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic of the USSR. They were the enemy!

I was half joking about returning back to the land of my ancestors. I'm an assimilated American and it would be difficult for me to acclimate myself to a foreign culture I wasn't raised in. My short visits there are fun, but I'm not so sure I would want to live there for extended periods. I'm not fluent in the Russian language, so it would not be easy for me to live there.

If all hell breaks loose, weapons and ammo certainly will be a necessary ingredient for those who wish to survive with some modicum of dignity. Sufficient, no.. but necessary.
