When i ordered my long form birth certificate i got the brand new "model" (lack of a better term) anyways so i went to get it photo copied and because the new ones are kind of clear it won't photo copy both sides it just shows up the same thing. So do i even need the back of my birth certificate or is the front side just fine?

Thanks!

Manitoba's are kind of like that. When I photocopied it it was still legible, but the text from the front showed on the copy of the back fairly clearly. You can try turning down the brightness on the photocopier. It probably won't matter though. I brought photocopies of both sides to my interview in Vancouver, and they just handed the back side copy right back to me.

Hello fellow Utahan. Yeah there isn't much of anything on the back other then the stamp. It is a British Columbia one. I will have to try again, i was using the photocopier at Office Max so i am sure someone could help me out.

Is it ok if my husband doesn't have a birth certificate (it has been lost long time ago), but just his american passport? Should he get one before the interview or is it just fine without it? We still have the time to do it.

A ) You're much more likely to get timely responses if you create your own thread. Just a friendly FYI :)

B ) Since your husband is a US citizen, a copy of his US passport should work just as well to prove his US citizenship as a birth certificate would.
