Adnan bhai,

sorry to hear about your returned application...The process is painful as it is, on top of that the rejection comes after a month..... They need to privatize the damn USCIS to make it more efficient.

anyways send the i-130 to CSC overnight .....address below:

U.S. Department of Homeland Security

US Citizenship and Immigration Services

California Service Center

P.O. Box 30111

Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0111

I had sent K3 (I-129F) overnight to chicago PO BOX. does anyone else know more of California CS?

To the best of my knowledge, you can use USPS Next day Express mail to any PO box in USA. Make sure, you send $190.00, I would send a personal check, that way you would know when it is cashed which would indicate that the NOA-1 would be on the way. Double check the I-130 application, have someone check it for you, send photocopy of the current notice that you received, etc.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Thanks guyz for all the help. Just one more question. My wife is not in US right now.. Her mother meaning my mother in law is taking care of this. My wife sent out the original application and went out of country. Now obviously with the cashier's cheque returned she can't write a personal cheque. What is my best option have my father-in-law write a personal cheque of $190 and send it with the application (Would USCIS care who is it coming from) or have a money order made and send it to them?

Also it should be in favor of Department of Homeland Security or USCIS - California Service Center?

Also it should be in favor of Department of Homeland Security or USCIS - California Service Center?

From USCIS:

Checks should be made payable to Department of Homeland Security or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

The insctruction pages on I-130 clearly state that only a money order on personal check is accepted. Also, each service center has their guidlines,on USCIS webiste, as what kind of payments they accept. Sending personal check is recommended cuz that way you can see reciept number on back of it when the check is cashed. Good luck.

My husband and I sent a certified Bank check for both petitions and they BOTH were ACCEPTED!!!! So yes, you can send a certified bank check.

Adnan,

Hope things work out fine this time. It is hard to say when you would get the NOA-1. The average time is

2-3 weeks after the filing. Good luck.
