I-130 Returned due to fee problem.. PLZ HELP!! :(

My I-130 has been returned to me after a month - with the following objection.

Application(s) / Petition(s) received in this office without a fee are returned to the applicant / petitioner. Resubmit your application petition with appropriate fee and return both to the California Service Center. Please do not re-submit separately; the cheque / money order and the petition must be submitted together.

I sent $190 certified cheque of Bank of America. Can anyone tell me what did I do wrong? Should I sent personal cheque or Money order. I made the certified cheque in favor of Department of Homeland Security.

Please Help immediately. I want to send this back tomorrow.

How did you guyz pay.. certified cheque, personal cheque or money order? which method is commonly used and what amount was paid.

I'm not an expert but, I sent a personal check. You could do the same. Send a new personal check tomorrow and bring the recipt for the Certified Check to Bank of America and get the Certified Check cancelled. You might have to pay a fee but you will get most of the money back. If the Certified Check has been cashed. Then... make a new post... because I dont know what do do for that.

Thanks. Did you send $190 right? Is that the correct amount or not?

And did you send it in favor of department of homeland security or USCIS - California Service center?

The insctruction pages on I-130 clearly state that only a money order on personal check is accepted. Also, each service center has their guidlines,on USCIS webiste, as what kind of payments they accept. Sending personal check is recommended cuz that way you can see reciept number on back of it when the check is cashed. Good luck.

I forgot about that... I used the personal check cashing as a sign, showing things were progressing.

I am sorry to hear that. I sent a personal check of $190.00 payable to Department of Homeland Security and it worked. Good Luck.

For I-130 (IR-1/CR-1), the application fee is $190.00. For I-129F (K-1/K-3), the application fee is $170.00

I have my check cancled for the I-130 made out to USCIS.

but the CSC messed up the I-130, and now my wife and I have to suffer for THEIR mistake

$190.00 for I-130 (mailed to Service center for CR1, green card).

$170.00 for I-129F (malied to Chicago for K3).

Now they returned the whole package without the I-130 petition. Now who is going to explain why?

Make a new I-130, write the check and send as if you were sending a new application. Did you recieve a rejection letter? if yes, make a copy of that, keep the copy for your records, and include original with the package, on top of everything.

Also do tell me if you guyz sent it to the PO BOX or overnight.. I know that if sending through PO BOX it has to be send through regular mail. Which address do we send it if we need send it over night?

I had sent K3 (I-129F) overnight to chicago PO BOX. does anyone else know more of California CS?
