hi all...our k1 applicatiin was approved...and on the letter the instruction indicated to call US embassy for appointment..i've been trying to call the 1909 number provided buy i cant get thru...any advise?

My fiancee in the Phils couldnt get through either. You need to buy a pin and call the 800 # that is listed. I think its cheeper this way anyhow, otherwise they charge you per minute and with the pin you can call back multiple times. I called from the USA for my fiancee, bought a pin with a credit card and scheduled her appointment for her. I hope this helps!

You have to call using PLDT or SMART landline with IDD/NDD access. You will not be able get through if ur using other provider or cellphone. =)

I usually get a hold of them around 8AM using PLDT

My fiance called the embassy, i think he paid $18 (thru credit card) for the PIN. Our phone provider at home is Digitel (can't use PLDT NDD here in the office, and can't go out from work to find one)and there's no way for me to call the embassy. My fiance don't have a choice. He called USEM =D

Tell your fiance to call at his most convenient time. =)

I was able to call the number by using a PLDT phone with NDD access..and they will charge you 55 pesos per minute.

Tell the U.S. citizen fiance(e) to ring 1-888-877-9888 and pay $ 18 for the pin. That line is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. of the Philippine time.

The pin can be used as many times as you like until its expiration date.
